Jul 5, 2023A good game to fit between Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. Frantic battles allow running around and exploring the world prior to the story of the first game.

May 24, 2023this game is the whopper junior of nintendo games
its fine and i see the apeal but it tries to manage 2 things at once and they dont work together
its a good enough game and not bad to play but i dont really see my self playing it again unless i just want to have a bite sized warriors mission with my favorite girl -
May 20, 2023The story and decent combat is what made the game somewhat bearable, the performance is absolutely laughable and borderline unplayable at times.
Koei Techmo and Nintendo should be ashamed of themselves for releasing the game in this state. -
May 11, 2023I like how you learn more about the breath of the wild characters and the cutscenes are cool but all you do is mash buttons and my controller even broke
-
Apr 15, 2023The boss is not easy to kill, you need to use the staff and props to destroy the shield. It increases the challenge of the battle. The story complements the part that is not mentioned in Breath of the Wild.

Mar 15, 2023I think it was an entertaining game. It might not be as entertaining if you haven't played “Breath of the Wild” but no matter what, you get many hours of good play. I can't give it a 10 though, as I think, there are a little bit too many boring quest and it is impossible to remember all the different combat-combinations. But overall a game I can recommend.

Mar 7, 2023Fun combat and a lot of unique characters, gorgeous art style and amazing music, but it's way too repetitive, the new storyline is dumb and overall pouring your time into it feels a bit worthless. I did have fun with it, but maybe the warriors games just aren't for me.

Feb 9, 2023This game is one of the worst games I’ve ever played it runs at 10 FPS how did they test this game and think yeah we should sell this
-
Jan 15, 2023Its an amazing prequel, the story is even greater, what makes is worse is the fact that its an hack and slash, but its one of the best, the bosses are so well made, the lvl desing is great as well as the combat. When ur playing as one of the titans it goes wild

Jul 4, 2022The people complaining about the story are morons, it was absolutely phenomenal. This is my second favorite game of all time, to Breath of the Wild. The gameplay is fantastic, and without the main story twist, the game would be left feeling barebones and way less enjoyable. This game is so amazing.

May 15, 2022Less content than HW1, fewer game modes than HW1, and less rich character gameplay than HW1. Zelda is insufferably complaining at almost evry cutscene. The scenario is without interest and isn't really a prequel to BotW.
-
Mar 16, 2022Great graphics and mechanics.
A kill everyone you see game.
Just love it and recommend it.
Theres a demo in eshop, everyone should give it a try -
Mar 10, 2022For me being someone who is interested in BOTW, Age of Calamity really helps me learn the characters and setting of the game. Alongside that, the game is awesome. It does get a bit laggy here and there but it never ruined my experience. Would recommend to those who maybe aren't Zelda fans like I am.

Feb 26, 2022I had so much fun playing this game that minor issues were not a problem. Probably the best musou game I have ever played. Lame ending, though.
-
Feb 15, 2022It's really impressive how they were able to fuse BOTW elements with Warriors gameplay, making for a very delicate mix of mindless fun, skill based combat and RPG goodness. I love it!
-
Feb 13, 2022I was very suprised about the good written Storie. The game has more than two hours of Cutszenes. The gameplay is easey to understand but pro gamers have enough content too. But the performence isn't good. The game mostly has 30fps or fewer in the handheld mode.

Ninty Fresh MagazineOct 22, 2021Of all the champions, AoC is most comparable to Daruk: rough around the edges and simple, but full of heart and grows on you fast. [Issue #3, p.55]
-
CD-ActionJun 9, 2021Age of Calamity is like a t-shirt with your favorite band’s artwork – remove the love of their music and all you’ve got is a piece of clothing. Similarly, if you play Hyrule Warriors not familiar with Breath of the Wild, you’ll miss tons of fan service and end up with a pretty and relaxing but rather basic hack and slash. [01/2021, p.64]

Nintendo Force MagazineMay 5, 2021This battle-hardened prequel is able to scratch an itch that its source material couldn't. [Issue #50 – January/February 2021, p. 75]
