    It’s a game that plays good and looks fine but not more than that. The career is fun with 80 short races and the challenge is good but not to difficult. There are some daily event that gove you gold that u can use in the shop. There is a level up system what also gives you gold. Overall a fun game to play even in handheld.

    If you're a Trackmania fan, this is basically Trackmania for the Nintendo Switch. Of course it's not the original, but it's also not just some **** bootleg. It is really a nicely done and a different game with slightly different mechanics, but the core remains the same. It's mostly about improving your time, and, yeah, it's inspired by Trackmania like...     This game looks great, runs and plays well, sounds good and is fun. However, all the courses feel the same due to the modular design of the tracks. Initially, I was addicted to this game and really enjoyed earning medals and unlocking the next track, but eventually I got sick of it because there simply isn't enough variety from track to track. I only managed to unlock 45 of the 80 tracks,This game looks great, runs and plays well, sounds good and is fun. However, all the courses feel the same due to the modular design of the tracks. Initially, I was addicted to this game and really enjoyed earning medals and unlocking the next track, but eventually I got sick of it because there simply isn't enough variety from track to track. I only managed to unlock 45 of the 80 tracks, and given my global rank places me in the top 1% of players (based on progress), it seems as though most players also give up long before they have completed all the challenges on offer. This game is certainly worth picking up if you like the trailer and you can get it on sale.… Expand

    Game looks great and the physics are very Arcade-like. Sadly you actually play only time trails against ghost drivers. After some time I felt bored. One reason is also the track design which is always the same with minor changes.

    Taking everything into account, I have a hard time recommending this over the mobile version. The online requirement is less of a bother there since you probably have some kind of internet connection available most of the time, the price is lower, and the game actually runs smoother. If a Switch is all you have and you don’t mind needing to be anchored to a wifi spot to play it, Hot Lap League has a lot of enjoyment to offer. But for this price, I feel like you can find other good racers on the eShop that will actually allow you to race on the go.
