Hook is one of those minimalist mobile puzzles that struggle to justify their own existence. It contains 50 levels. The first 40 are so easy that you can complete them in a matter of seconds. The last 10 require some mild thinking, but they feel more like work than fun. Then the game ends, after less than one hour of play.

I cannot say that Hook is bad–it's just insubstantial. You could

If you are really into puzzle games, you can probably beat this in the amount of time it take to watch a movie. Was able to beat it twice in 48 hours without too much trouble or time invested. Despite being short it’s a fun game and good exercise in following signal flow schematics. If you can find it on sale it’s worth picking up.

For the price I paid for this game (approx $1) I think it's great. The puzzles are satisfying, the minimalist design is simple and the sound design is very nice. It's overall quite a soothing experience, if a fairly short one.

My only criticism would be that there is no level-select screen; you have to step back one at a time through the puzzles you've completed.
