    Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?! is a good simulation game to buy on switch right now. In this game, you are trying to make the greatest weapon shop of potatoes world. you can craft all sort of weapon like bows and axes. What I really love about this game is the funny cartoon graphic and the sound effects . I recommend this game to all my friends.

    I'd bought this game on the PS4, which I don't feel is the ideal medium for this type of game, though I did enjoy it there. So I thought I'd enjoy it even more on Switch because it's perfect for a handheld in short bursts. I'm going to assume you know what shop/crafting games are like and just say "it's a decent one of them", and move straight onto what the Switch version is like inI'd bought this game on the PS4, which I don't feel is the ideal medium for this type of game, though I did enjoy it there.     The touchscreen controls are fine, I think it helps that the Switch just seems to have a very good touchscreen generally, but Holy Potatoes makes good use of it. But if you're after a complete touchscreen experience, why not just get it on mobile? The Switch is quite heavy, for me using the touchscreen is a gimmick that I don't find comfortable.

    Using the buttons, the input lag on the Switch is often a second or more, and the way they've mapped them is a direct downgrade from PS4. "Select Smiths" and "Smith Notifications" are not the same button like it is on PS4, "Notifications" is mapped to the - button on Switch and that is an incredibly annoying one to make so important. It's not unplayable by any means, but it's those things that mean I pick it up less and less.

    Also I'd just like to say that having to reposition your blacksmiths every single time they come back from shopping or exploring is a constant hateful extra step and I can't for a minute understand why the game doesn't just remember what slot you had them in in the first place. Combined with baffling mistakes like sometimes it has a menu shape that doesn't correspond with the directional inputs (the hexagon shape behaves like a square, are you kidding?!), I feel like the Switch version has ended up with more foibles overall than I can take.

    I notice in the NintendoLife and NintendoWorldReport they both say the game is uncomfortable to play, which is interesting cause I assumed it was cause I've got a lot of arthritis going on. It's like reverse alchemy - a game I like, perfectly suited to the Switch, given just enough problems that I'll never enjoy it.    … Expand

    An adorable time waster. The humor, cute art style and several references that are fun to catch it's potato form was a really good time.

    The story in the background was more of a means to get more references out there and get things moving along with upgrading your shop. I did find myself getting really bored though of the gameplay loop right when getting to the last stage of shops.    An adorable time waster.     You could definetly spend hours just chasing higher numbers if that's your thing. I would necessarily call this very zen though or cozy because there is always a very real threat of running out of money.

    For the price though of getting it on sale it's definetly worth it to try for anyone wanting something easy going that doesn't take itself too seriously. It's also very pick up and play friendly although you probably won't want to put it down too long because there are a lot of systems that are easy to lose track of how to maximize.     If you're looking for a cute and funny shop simulator that you can enjoy as the hours tick away then you need to play Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?! Its rewarding gameplay and lighthearted atmosphere make it a great game to zone out to.

    If you are looking for a simulation game to spend some time with on the Switch, Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?! may do the trick. Just be warned: it’s painfully average, not bringing anything new to this genre, and super slow. I feel like this genre is better suited for PCs or even tablets rather than portable gaming systems because it feels too cluttered for the Switch’s screen and not comfortable on any television.

    Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?! isn’t anything we haven’t already seen before. Forging and selling weapons is fun once you get into the rhythm of it, and there’s plenty within the potato world to work towards. This is a game that can be played for a few minutes or hours per day, depending on how much you enjoy the genre. What’s frustrating is how this title has been adapted to the Switch. It’s got a clunky user interface that doesn’t really feel compatible with the Joy-Cons and even if you opt with the screen by itself as a touchpad it still feels difficult to complete the most basic of tasks.
