    DON'T BUY THIS GAME ON SWITCH!! the switch version is a beta version at best. the game has game-breaking bugs that you dont get to until 1-2 weeks in. the game requires you to do certain things to get merits but those things cause the bugs. i can't even get past the title screen now. the mod on discord gets snappy when you bring them up. Nintendo knows this and refuses to refund your money.

    This game is almost a scam on Switch. And I don't talk about its bad gameplay loop or the non existent content of the game itself. It's more broken then any alpha version of any mobile game you'll ever play. We're 3 months after launch and they don't give a damn about fixing it. The customers are just milked. Even worst than Pokemon Violet. It says all!

    Even if the whole experience is not perfect, Hokko Life is a chill and pleasant game that will provide us some nice sessions.

    In its current state, I’d recommend picking up Hokko Life on another platform over Nintendo Switch if you have the option. The long load times and performance issues even in early parts hold it back. The developers have said that they are still working on the game and bringing more to it, and Hokko Life has the potential to be much better on Switch. Right now, I can only recommend it with the caveat about technical issues and assuming you like the aesthetic. I enjoyed my time with this blend of elements from Animal Crossing and Story of Seasons.
