Playing Hextech Mayhem you'll find yourself keeping the tempo, while flying in explosions as a little yordle. And that's cool.

Though I mostly enjoyed my time with Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story, it has definite issues as a rhythm platformer. It can become a bit of a slog to play in long sessions, but it's nice in short bursts. If you're already a League of Legends fan looking for a different sort of experience, it's hard not to recommend Hextech Mayhem, though it may be a slightly tougher sell otherwise.

Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story is a fun rhythm game that features a couple of interesting ideas. Other than that, this experience doesn't offer much for the MOBA world or for the gamer.

New to the rhythm genre, Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story should be a serious challenge for you. Scoring enthusiasts will find what they are looking for in this demanding experience which does not eat bread and which is readily enjoyed during short musical sessions. Too bad the excess information on the screen and the lack of ergonomics of the controls mar the experience. This last problem could nevertheless be quickly corrected by granting the possibility of modifying the commands.

Hextech Mayhem is a fun game, but it’s often too confusing due to the visual effects.

Your head won't explode, even though there are a lot of bombs in the game. A nice adventure based on the world of LoL, giving room for the new line "A League of Legends Story" with which Riot hopes to continue contributing for years to come. It is simple, straightforward and effective. Its biggest downside is wanting to gloat about the action it has, something difficult to appreciate in a rhythm game where you have to keep an eye on the movement markers to succeed.

Ultimately, there isn’t much to Hextech Mayhem, and that doesn’t necessarily have to be a bad thing. As a smaller budget game, the rhythm mechanics are decent enough, and once you unlock Full Action Mode the problems with freestyle mayhem completely disappear. Unfortunately, more freestyle mayhem means more performance drops, which means more missed button presses. Hextech Mayhem is a fine little game, but the fact that the best way to play just doesn’t work sometimes and is only available after finishing the game, I’m not sure I can really recommend it to anyone that isn’t a League of Legends fan that’s really itching to see more of Ziggs in action.

Great runner. The music is quite good and it's definitely a plus for a rhythm game. Great deal for 10$.

I'm waiting for more games from riot forge.
