Inti Creates is simply a stamp of quality on every product! They have yet to disappoint me in all of the games that I have played from them: Wasn't BMZ awesome enough? Ok, take BMZ2 then! Do you enjoy Megaman style games but also love loot griding? Alright, here is Dragon Marked for Death! Its like they make games tailored just for me...

And now...after Two Gunvolt titles and a possible 3rd one that is having troubles coming out of the hoven, one might wonder...was that sort of spin off game a stretch? Maybe they are pushing it and the quality will suffer for it...
Nope! They did it again! 10/10 this game ROCKS!

Purchased this game on day one after reading all of the recommendations. I am new to the Gunvolt series, so this was gamble for me. This game did not disappoint, hours melted away as I pushed forward for upgrades and to continue the story line. The in game mechanics do a great job teaching the player new ways to use copied weapons. I highly recommend this to any action platformer fan whoPurchased this game on day one after reading all of the recommendations. I am new to the Gunvolt series, so this was gamble for me. An evolution of Copen's gameplay in ASG2 and by God is it good. Playing the first two games isn't a necessity, but is highly recommended.

The day Inti makes a bad game it will be a very sad day, beacuse so far they seem nail every single game they make!
Its one of the last devs that I can blindly pre-order their games because I have absolutely no fear of being disappointed!

This is, like to be expected by Inti Creates, a amazing 2D Action Platformer. They're still the absolute elite in the genre and have proven this again with this title.
The only downside is that it's pretty short. My first playthrough without any bonus content took me around three hours to complete. This will still be worth your 15 Bucks in my opinion but it should be adressed. The story

I recommend you play those two games first if you want to fully enjoy LAiX.
Overall a solid "Go play this right now"

Control is tight and responsive, fast-paced with well-written plot. This is the best platformer-game I have played so far

This game make me fell like the first day I control Zero in Megaman X5. I mean, I love X and Gunvolt but Zero and iX is even better!

    A great game, even if the difficulty feels a little lopsided. [Issue #43 – November/December 2019, p. 22SW]

Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX follows the footsteps of the Azure Striker Gunvolt series and does so in a very fun and competent way. Thanks to its fluid and simple controls, frantic gameplay and defying bosses, this is a perfect work for those who enjoyed its predecessors and inspirations, even if it has some rough edges when it comes to its boss fights and soundtrack.

A curious example of a title being both more refined, but also less good than its predecessor. The action is smoother, better, and overall much more engaging. Purely as a platformer it is great fun, can be picked up cheap, and is only marred by simplistic, one-way levels and its short length. As an entry it is inferior to its predecessor with the removal of various gear, crafting, and challenges, making it a one-trick pony. It's awesome, but it doesn't have the magic the previous one did. Copen, one of the cooler characters in recent history, lacks much of his style that was memorable in previous games. This series is one of the coolest in recent times, and while this does not disappoint, it doesn't live up to how absolutely great it could be.
