    A masterpiece and one of my favorite games on the Switch. The scenes are beautifully illustrated, and the solutions to the puzzles are as mind-bending as they are gratifying. Without any dialogue or text, the story can be a bit obtuse to some players, but there's a joy to analyzing the themes and trying to piece together the narrative. Reaching the end will take roughly two hours, butA masterpiece and one of my favorite games on the Switch.     Amazing game, wish it lasted longer or they would've added more chapters later on. I would recommend getting it, and even tough I want to support the creativity of the creators, I don't think it's worth paying full price for the hours of gameplay. Get it on sale.
    Nonetheless a must play since it's completely different from everything you've ever played!

    Short, beautiful, best played on the touchscreen. Very intuitive interface, can and should be played without pressing any buttons. The puzzles are very, very easy. I recommend to read the game as an illustrated, animated, interactive story book. Don’t expect a challenge!

    Lovely art and a clever concept! Some puzzles are less than obvious resulting in a bit of random clicking, but it doesn't detract too much. I had difficulty following the story but I enjoyed the overall atmosphere. For the price I paid for it ($5) it's a no brainer!

    Absolutely stunning art style, really really clever & unique puzzles with a lovely story. I can't imagine how long this took to conceive and execute. I was extremely impressed and consider it pretty much perfect!

    A truly lovely and stirring puzzle game. It really makes the most of its core concept.

    Can and should be finished in one 2 to 3 hour session--otherwise you may forget what you were doing.

    It's an amazing puzzle game. It feels fresh and I was really caught up in the universe. The graphic design is beautiful and the mechanics are genius. Yes, you have to figure it out by yourself but there are not a lot, so I don't get how people can get frustrated for not being told how to switch a tile. I think the fun comes because it lets you play around with the tiles and that's how youIt's an amazing puzzle game. It feels fresh and I was really caught up in the universe.     i could see how this game might be better on the PC but I really enjoyed it on the Switch. Great puzzles and very few frustrating points. Usually I feel like i have to look up at least something in a puzzle game but I don't think that happened with Gorogoa. It's been on sale a lot lately too so don't hesitate to pick it up if you are a person who enjoys puzzle games.

    I don't think there's enough time to get the things done on a Nintendo switch console. Especially when I have to switch between 2 pictures sewell times. This is no problem at the PC console, because you have your mouse to get your things done. In Nintendoi don't have the mouse, and therefor I will take a bit longer, for me.... Actually I stock because of that :-(

    Beautiful, relaxing puzzle game with clever and fun-to-discover game mechanics. While short, the delight of completion means this will definitely stay on my "replay" list in the future.

Gorogoa reminds me a great deal of those gifts, and is very much a spiritual successor to them. Challenging but not frustrating, this unique game tells an enigmatic story through gorgeous hand-drawn animations, with subtle hints peppered here and there to point you in the rightWhen I was a young child, my grandmother gave me a number of beautifully-illustrated picture puzzle books. For the best experience, set aside a couple of hours and plan to play through the entire game in one setting. While completing the game does unlock a prototype demo, there's little reason to return or replay after you're done -- just like those puzzle mystery books from my childhood.… Expand

    Revelar el contenido de la historia puede arruinar la experiencia con el juego por lo que es mejor saltearse la    Gorogoa es sin lugar a dudas una gran obra visual, pero no así un gran video juego.     Éste es uno de esos juegos donde debemos interactuar con la pantalla e ir superponiendo imágenes para lograr activar mecánicas ocultas que nos permitan avanzar la animación. Los controles son sólidos más la experiencia es más inmersiva utilizando la pantalla táctil.
    No tiene muchos pormenores el juego salvo la durabilidad, no son demasiados puzzles y la mayoría tienen la misma lógica a cumplir, por lo que la rejugabilidad es un punto crítico.
    "Gorogoa" es una experiencia visual y personal, no es un juego para cualquiera pero para quienes tengan el gusto seguro encontrarán atractivo el viaje. Lamentablemente debo recomendar la versión para dispositivos celulares a la de Switch por la diferencia de precios y por una mejor interfaz táctil.    … Expand

    Clever system, wonderful universe and graphics that lead you into a travel into time and space. But really really short (was really frustrated to finish it, which also is a good sign) and with an anti-climax ending (in term of challenge).

    Beautiful artwork, but it's almost impossible to play without using the touchscreen, which is restrictive and awkward.

    It also isn't obvious what you're supposed to do, and there's not much to it: you can just keep moving things around until they "fit."

    I regret this purchase.

And to progress through the story you’ll be lining up pictures and stacking pictures on top of each other..     This game took me around 2 hours to complete my first time and I found the puzzles here to be clever..
    There is just enough to handle at any given moment..
    It gets close to the line of overwhelming towards the end of the game.. but it dances on the line.. never quite crossing it, keeping this challenging brain teaser to be satisfying and fun…
    and times making me feel like a genius when I solved a puzzle instantly after remembering an alignment I was playing with earlier..
    some may be turned off by the game length, however I felt 2 hours to be a great amount of time..
    im not a huge fan of having to use my brain when I play games.. at least for not a long period of time..
    so I was definitely happy gorogoa doesn’t drag on forever..
    it sets out to tell a story, deliver it through clever puzzle solving and picture stacking and it does just that..
    right to the point, no time wasting.. no filler..
    This is a great game every puzzle fan should check out

    It's definitely impressive that this game was essentially the work of one person over many years, with a clear and interesting vision. It's a unique puzzler unlike any I've played before, and I'm glad that I played it and supported the indie developer. But at the end of the day, it didn't quite leave me fully satisfied.

    There are some really clever puzzles, but the game doesn't do a good job of explaining it's mechanics. You just have to basically figure out how to play on your own. Sometimes, I solved a puzzle by logic and actually figuring it out which felt satisfying, but half the time it seemed like I solved it by pure luck of trial and error. Those times felt a bit disappointing. The puzzles do slowly ramp up in complexity, but the final puzzle was surprisingly straight-forward and easy; definitely a let-down to end the game on. It's also pretty short, which isn't always bad, but I felt like with it's unique and complex puzzle concept, it could have been longer with more puzzles to solve. I was a bit surprised to reach the end when I did.

    Although it has an interesting vision and story to tell, the story is so vague I didn't really get much out of it. After I finished the game, I was just left scratching my head. I wish it had given some clearer insight, which also might have helped with the puzzle-solving. It is nice that's it's all music and sound effects, though. Great atmosphere.

    Despite its flaws, it's still a unique game worth a try. If you're not sure about the $14.99 price tag, you probably wouldn't regret buying if it's ever on sale.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I wish they would have narrated the story a little or shown it in some sought of galley in a sorted order once you fished all puzzles.

    The story is that of a boy who goes through various stages of life and draws on his past experiences or as he journeys grows old and reflect on what he could have done differently. The non use of narrative allows the user to draw there own conclusion of the story and the never ending circle of life in gorogoa.    … Expand

    Gorogoa is a good fit for the Switch. The four panel interface is a good fit for a portable game and you can play the game entirely using the touch screen. While it makes for a good portable game, you should probably make your way through the game without long breaks in between as it can be hard to remember what panels led you to the current stage of the puzzle and how you last manipulated the current panels. Overall, Gorogoa is an unusual and unique puzzle game, and it's easy to recommend to anyone who enjoys games of this genre.

    Gorogoa crafts its inventive, sliding-tile puzzles and magical world with a graceful simplicity across a compact but fulfilling adventure. The excitement of solving each puzzle may be lost on a repeat playthrough, but its hand-drawn art and clever payoffs are no less satisfying to watch unfold again and again. Gorogoa manages to say so much without uttering a single word, endowing it with a mystery that invites a more attentive, thoughtful revisit — and one that I was more than happy to accept.

    There’s a creative mind-bending aspect to some of the puzzles – at the right zoom level panels can be visually combined in clever ways. It really is a very carefully crafted game and I found the difficulty level just right – both pleasantly challenging and satisfying. While over quickly, I really enjoyed Gorogoa.
