Golazo is a very entertaining indie game that serves the purpose of delivering entertainment; sometimes the gameplay gets a little stuck, but nothing to keep the fun going.

Golazo! is a good arcade football title, casual and willing to give good moments of relaxation with fun matches. However, its technical section is improvable and its gameplay does not always respond to expectations.

For lack of a better term, Golazo! is a pretty run-of-the-mill arcade football sim. It does well to channel a '90s aesthetic and it is sure to create some memorable moments despite the hiccups in its design. The controls are simple enough to pick up and play and the gameplay solid enough to warrant whipping it out for a night of arcade fun with friends, but it certainly isn't going to hold most players' interest when it comes to playing solo against the CPU.

Golazo! does not deliver a serious football simulation and that's fine - fun and intense moments is all what this game is about, with its dribbling and tackling moves, enjoyable local multiplayer (pity for the lack of online though) and overall sense of satisfaction of a few hours well spent. Some technical issues need to be addressed and the emphasis on a more action/arcade experience will leave out more committed fans of the king of sports but Golazo! is more than able to provide some hours of less than serious fun.
