Good twin-stick shooter with fun bosses, an awesome art style, and a nice music. I'm a big fan of the difficulty curve, and the gallery of resource types on display in the main hub is a nice touch.

However, if you're think of purchasing it on Switch you might want to wait until it receives its first patch. There is currently a critical bug that causes the game to crash mid-run. The Switch responds to this by closing the software and giving you the message "The software was closed due to an unknown error."
This is an experience-ruining bug as when you leave the game while in the caves you are punished in yhe same way as if you died, you lose everything you have collected AND all items currently in your possession. This bug has occurred twice for me already, once per play session, which is twice in less than two hours of total play.
The following is the most recent time this happened: I had returned to the surface just before the third boss stage and sold my resources for 33,000 currency. I spent about 20,000 of this on buying the last not-yet-unlocked weapons before spending the remaining 13,000 on medkits. I was hoping to continue where I left off in the caves and clear at least two more boss rooms with the assistance of these 16 or so medkits before surfacing again.
However, I was only in the boss fight for about 30s before the game crashed. When I launched it again I had lost all my medkits and had none of the money I had used to buy them.
Look, this game is fun to play and I really want to play more of it, but unless this is patched soon I can't bring myself to start another multi-hour-long play session knowing that it may crash at any moment and severely punish me for something completely out of my control.
7/10 when this is fixed, maybe 8 if the game ends up being as deep as it's teased it may be.
Edit (same day): decided to try playing again anyway, had a great run, got out with over 100,000 currency and spent it all on items. Went in again and was going well for two rooms, then I encountered an even more destructive bug than mentioned above. This one caused my Switch's OS to crash and request to be restarted, an event which, I believe, is the Switch equivalent of bluescreening on a Windows PC. This is extremely concerning and frustrating, and I hope it is patched quickly.… Expand
