    Love it! One of the best warrior in a while. Really worth playing if you liked the story in three houses. Not the same gameplay at all though don't by this thinking it's a traditional FE game

    El mejor Musou, aunque no es muy complicado. Si Three Houses es Intelligent Systems X Omega Force entonces Three Hopes es Omega Force X Intelligent Systems. Mi mayor queja es que como todo los musous, tienen muchísimo ataques reciclado de los anteriores 30 juegos de Omega Force, sólo Age of Calamity fue decente en ese sentido.

    This game branches out into 3 different story viewpoints and to enjoy the entire story and all of the characters held within: you have to play all 3 paths. The problem? Each path story is around 50 hours long if you do all map missions so it would take you 150 hours to get the entire story and full experience.

    Fire Emblem fan or not, this game is so cool and fun to play! What surprised me is the awesome strategy elements included in this action game. Very impressive indeed.

    Honest review here, woah this game is just absolutely mindblowing. From gameplay to music everything all are so impressive to witness, and after even 100 hours of playing I still find new stuff to do and new route to explore. It just never gets old!

    Very entertaining Musou + strategic system . Better than every other musou game , I have ever played
    Many new addition characters + plot twist from based-game .
    This game is recommended for any Three house fans.

    Sadly very few new classes and a bit repetitive after a while.

    Still, a great game design, graphics ,plot and very long play time .

    A diferencia de su antecesor, Three Hopes se centra únicamente en el lore y universo de su referente, lo cual permite que el juego se una visión clara de lo que se nos puede ofrecer y centrarse en un punto, lo cual no pasaba en la anterior entrega ya que quiso hacer un cross over enorme con muchos títulos lo cual no permitió hacerlo disfrutable. El que mucho abarca poco aprieta dicen.
    Este titulo es un juego que "SOLO" es entretenido si sos fan/tu FE favorito es Three Houses ya que sino se vuelve aburrido a mitad, a menos en la opinión de alguien que lo disfruto pero ve la otra cara de la moneda.
    El sistema de combate y las misiones(salvo algunas) son bastantes simples y rápidas de aprender y superar, atacando casi sin parar hordas de de enemigos que solo estan ahi para ser aplastados sin contar a los jefes o capitanes, dar ordenes a los personajes que elijas desplegar de la manera que mas te guste o creas conveniente.
    No promete nada mas alla de lo que uno se puede esperar: volver a ver y usar a tus personajes favoritos desde un punto de vista What IF con nuevos dise;os y en algunos casos nuevas personalidades. Personajes que eran mencionados pero que nunca se los vio, ahora se los puede conocer y con algunos hasta jugar., expandiendo y explicado mas el lore de su historia principal.
    Hay que mencionar que parece ser un juego sin acabar por los finales que presenta en las rutas a jugar, la historia del nuevo Avatar y por algunas razones mas pero eso ya serian spoilers.
    "Repito", es un juego que vale la pena si SOS amante ferviente de Three Houses,si sos alguien independiente a esta franquicia o si el titulo en el que se basa este juego no te termino de convencer no lo mires con buenos ojos tampoco a este.    … Expand

    I'm now 60 hours in, and I'm amazed this game isn't talked about everywhere. This game is every Fire Emblem 3 Houses' fans wet dream.

    The game stands on its own two feet just fine, but if you come from the previous Fire Emblem game you'll see that almost all the outside battle mechanics are kept, the story is strong and adds to the universe of 3 Houses.     剧情不评价，我帝国线玩着还行。另外，风花雪月我没买，也没玩，原来的剧情不知道。我这种被称为遗老人，玩不来直接没买。这作我当无双买的，而主要是因为任亏卷快过期了，需要花掉。我只能说作为无双来讲，这游戏远远超出了预期，这张任亏卷超值啊！我甚至可以当成火纹来玩！像极了当年玩三国志13，暂停，都给冲兄弟们。不过，没有三国那么多熟悉的人物确实少了点感觉，一眼望去都是据点兵长和大头兵格局有点小了。不过就当是火纹咯，关底战配好之后，指点江山就好了，我就为了S刷刷兵杀杀人，困难难度也能轻松过。保证队友不死，还能刷个S，还是挺有意思的。

    Absolutely fantastic follow up to the original Three Houses. This games story fleshes out a lot of missing details from the original game and provides further character development for many fan favorites. The music in this game is also phenomenal, somehow managing to improve upon Three Houses’ already fantastic soundtrack. If you haven’t played Three Houses yet, I would definitely recommend playing that first before this.     I have to be honest, I am pretty sure a bunch of the negative reviews are just by one guy who's really upset that this isn't a new mainline Fire Emblem game because a number of these recent reviews are the same regurgitated points that aren't true.     The good:

    The game is great, it feels and plays like a Fire Emblem game with musou gameplay, whereas on the other hand, the original Fire Emblem Warriors simply felt like a musou game with Fire Emblem characters and an incoherent story. FEW3H is a huge leap from the original Fire Emblem Warriors game and runs quite smoothly. This isn't a bad game, it's a great game. If you were disappointed with the length of Edelgard's route in Three Houses, this game will absolutely satisfy you. The story is great, it works pretty well as a "what-if" scenario for the original game. In terms of visuals, FEW3H has much better visuals than Three Houses, for example, the quality of textures is much better. Also, the base camp in Three Hopes is easier to navigate over Three House's monastery; the monastery was unnecessarily large, whereas the base camp in FEW3H is just the right size and has numerous facilities to allow you to upgrade your characters. This game greatly expands on the already expansive lore and worldbuilding of Fodlan

    The bad:

    This is a musou game so admittedly, the gameplay does feel quite repetitive at times. In addition, the game seems to have issues with framerate. Interestingly, the game appears to have an uncapped framerate, though, the game averages at around 33-36 FPS during combat; this is a very consistent average that I have noticed, I haven't seen the game go below 30FPS during combat. In quieter areas such as the base camp, the game will run at around 50FPS.

    It's a great game and it's a very nice "what-if" scenario for the original game; absolutely a must-buy for anyone who enjoyed the original game.    … Expand

    Its a Fire Emblem Musou game with an alternative story and as a musou fan i can totally recommend this game to warrior fans. It ads fresh wind to the musou genre, has great characters and different classes to play around with.

    Gameplay and story were both excellently crafted, remaining true in character to the source material of Three Houses. I enjoy every bit of the game, which feels like an excellent mix of the Musou genre and Three Houses' mechanics. One of, if not the best, Warriors games to exist.

    A) this is a warriors game not a fire emblem game B) If something in the past changes and you don't meet people or experience events that heavily influenced you, you will act differently then in the timeline where you did experience those things (wow! what a novel concept) As for the game itself, it's just your average    People in this games reviews either dont understand that:

    As for the game itself, it's just your average warriors game with a fire emblem twist. Its significantly better than the last FE Warriors game both in terms of gameplay and story but if you don't like warriors' games, no matter how big of a FE fan you are, you wont like this one.

    I must admit I have my doubts about this game because I love Fire Emblem Gameplay and I thought It would be a repetitive button smasher game but I was wrong, the strategy elements are there and all other elements that made Three Houses an amazing game are there too. It's incredible that they made new routes, the characters are back and the roster is incredible big. Thanks Nintendo!

    As a very big Fire Emblem fan i can really say i love this game. Three Houses was one of my favorite games and its nice too see another Three Houses story even if its not a RTS.

    I really enjoyed playing demo of this game so i had pretty high hopes for it, to be honest i don't really mind the repetitive attacks. I enjoyed the storyline and characters, i also love that you can build friendships with the characters, this is one of my favorite fire emblem game so far since I'm a big fan of these types of combat. I would love to see more fire emblem games like this :)

    It's a pretty good game. Don't listen to the people **** on this for the story, most of them are doing it based on leaks without context. The characters are consistent with their three houses self and we get to see some interesting new facets of them in action. If you liked Fire emblem three houses story than you will enjoy it.

    So the truth is the real user score is only around 5.8-6.5. After check, the almost 10/10 user is newly creater user. Three Hope have at least 55 percentage content is unfriendly to fan, there will let you creater deliberately humiliate fan.

    For example, Koei has time to do the CG of Byleth's death, but does not have time to do support relationship dialogues between Byleth and other characters. If you've followed the Koei news, you'll find that the Koei development team thought the story of Three House and the character Bleth was a failure. So they used the opportunity to modify and destroy the original story. That's why you won't feel the soul of the Three House in the Three Hope story. How will fans have fun if the purpose of Three Hope development is to destroy Three House?

    In fact, "Three Hopes" has more story logic problems than "Three House". The ending also makes you feel like why waste your time playing.     On retrouve tout le côté stratégique et tactique lors des batailles qui demande de la préparation et de l'observation. Le tout dans un jeu qui fait les bonnes concessions techniques pour un jeu visuellement correct mais restant fluide. Le tout avec toujours de bon personnages bien accompagné par les remix musicale.
    Seuls défauts, la caméra qui peut vite être horrible, surtout avec le centrage automatique. Et peut-être le fait d'être interrompu souvent en bataille et que le jeu ne soit pas si difficile que cela.

    I wanted to play this whenever it came out, but with so many other games and the fact that I don't care for the "warriors" game so much I passed it up. That being said I really shouldn't have! This game is easily the best warriors game I'm ever played. The story is fun and exist in a non canonical world separate to the original (Three houses) one. Tying it into the last game was a good call. Gives Three Houses more lore and builds on the original game. Not commonly done in Fire Emblem, and I love to see it for the series!     Much better than I thought it would be! Arval and Shez were great additions to the cast. I would recommend taking a break between each of the three routes as to not get to overwhelmed, it is a long game, but a streamlined "monastery" system and new game plus makes each playthrough require much less micromanagement comparatively to when replaying three houses.

    It tells you what it is and if you like both of those things you'll love it.

    As an aside, Shez is probably the best avatar character an FE game has ever seen. Intensely likeable and radiates charm.

    My only gripe, which plagues all warriors games, is that the combat does get stale near the end. Combo animations become grander and more impactful in higher tier classes, but are nothing to write home about within the genre (average, not subordinate to others but not amazingly outstanding).

    As with Three Houses, class system involves mastering and ranking up to higher tier classes, while carrying over passives from mastered classes across disciplines. Four generalized class trees exist (fast sword rogue, lance mounted, varied warriors from punchers to armored tanks, mages/monks). As with Three Houses, there are 4 tiers and 3 certification gates separating them. The RPG/build progression faithfully aligns with Three Houses and is a nice splash in the genre.

    Combat flow is fun and satisfying, but not innovative within the genre, which is good news for some. A few of the early game or lower class tier combos feel purposefully sluggish to give players a feeling of growth. This might give the wrong impression to new players that the entire game is slow/with a feeling of low player power or agency. It is a decision that was made, and whether or not I agree with the power fantasy, it does improve as the game goes on.

    ---------------Story---------------

    Treat this as Hyrule Warriors 2 with regards to timeline divergence. Gone is the original plot of Three Houses, replacing the protagonist with a new mercenary (this time with purple hair). The new protag is more spirited and less pragmatic than Byleth, if a bit duller for the sake of characterization. Some fans might dislike that Byleth becomes an antagonist, but I enjoy the juxtaposition of known characters in this way much like Rhea was for the original game depending on choices.

    As a standalone story, the plot is middling and rather erratic. Because of the scale of the game (large), the storyline darts back and forth across the map in ways that it tries to justify, but feel rather forced. It does well in trying to integrate the known characters into an established universe, but the actual story writing feels purposefully stretched to fit a 60 hour game in the musuo genre. I would rate the plot alone as a 6/10. Not terrible, not amazing: certainly inferior to the original Three Houses writing.

    ---------------Fun factor---------------

    Overall, the game starts slow with a large forced cutscene chain and four tutorial/intro missions that drag the first three hours. The plot and mechanics open up quite a bit with a true hub and lots of additional mechanics starting in the fourth chapter. The game continues to gain in entertainment value from that point as class rank ups unlock faster, more powerful, and more responsive move sets. This fun continues for quite a while before it begins to take a repetitive hit about 25 hours in as the hub mechanics start to feel a bit stale with only a few new additions moving through the middle game and lots of actions to take each chapter (Three Houses had this action economy drag issue as well). Overall, the 'fun' is the high point of the game, though, and will keep players engaged more than an average story or a decently refined entry to the musuo genre.

    Final words are this is a good entry, a vast improvement to Fire Emblem's original musuo foray, and a serviceable but not 'must see' story for enjoyers of the specific universe.    … Expand

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes is very much like Fire Emblem: Three Houses, but with the traditional battles of fire emblem replaced with the battle of Dynasty Warriors. Pretty much everything else about Three Houses is here, with some things improved, and some things toned down (which is admittedly disappointing, but I wasn't expecting much anyway). If you've played Three Houses, then you know that the battles can make up a minority of gameplay, so even though I vastly prefer Fire Emblem gameplay to Dynasty Warriors gameplay, most of the game is similar to Three Houses.

    If you liked Three Houses, then Three Hopes is worth a shot.

    Let’s start with the content at hand. This takes FE 3 Houses and spins it into a warriors games. Warriors are great, I thoroughly enjoyed the original FE warriors on switch. The issue with the content is lack of content outside of main story. There is no replay value outside of the usual process of 1.) pick your house, 2.) Beat the game with that house, 3.) Do it all over again with a different house. In that exact order. In the original FE warriors game, you had minimal story but you given the opportunity to grind skill trees on every character to make them stronger and speed run missions. I wish that FE Hopes had skill trees on characters to make interested in wanting to play them. In my initial playthroughs, I only wanted to play the main character cause he or she is that op. The main character is that strong even if he or she is at a disadvantage in the weapon triangle.

    Did I say the game didn’t have skill trees? Oh wait it does. But it’s a shame they only exist in facilities. You have to progress the story to get the materials to upgrade facilities. Out of all the facilities, only training, tactics, and supply depot are worth even investing your time in the facility skill trees.

    So how is the leveling grind aspect you ask? Well there is none. The developers thought it would be cheeky to add in a feature at the training instructor to buy levels. Yes the whole process is do a mission, get lots of gold ( reward completion currency ) and buy all the levels you want for your houses characters. The developers must think that people don’t have the time to level up characters in order to progress a games story. In my first initial playthrough. A lot of my units were level 20+ only 3 hours into the games. That includes no extra curricular grinding or redoing missions or doin auxiliary battles. Just S rank missions and your units will be over leveled super quick.

    I won’t get into the story but it’s pretty much very similar to 3 houses up until late game. If you have played 3 houses, you will understand the whole get up. Fodlans 3 regions are up in war with each other Blah Blah Blah poo poo story.

    The game features some side content like chores etc. Frankly a lot of the side content is the same as 3 houses. The side content has no effect on overall gameplay and only exists to suit the needs of people to invested into character personalities.

    The only thing that saves the game for is the class advancement system. Characters can switch between classes freely once unlocked any time in a playthrough. If I want to go from master class to an advanced or invest into a whole separate class tree, I can. I really hope they incorporate that into future mainline FE games.    … Expand

    THE GOOD: There were lots of beautiful cutscenes and lots of fun activities to try in camp. The strategies and objectives in battle were fun, and the large battles were always so exciting with many twists and turns. The game is kind to newcomers to the Musou games. It wasn’t nearly as hard to get used to as I thought, coming from strategy games. I enjoyed the gameplay!     I was innitially excited but grew weary when we got the announcment of the new protagonist, the generic Shez who while fine hardly makes for a better protagonist than Byleth whom actually had reasons for being the way they were and was important to the story being told. The fact that its an alternate universe initially also put me off because instead of enhancing the Three Houses universe this is seemingly meant to replace it, but now I am glad because at least it means that this mediocre mess wont damage my enjoyment of its predecessor.

    Gameplay is up to anyone to decide whether it works or not, it was fun at times for me but mostly its been a chore but regardless I was in this for the story and the longer I played the less I wanted to play and see and the more and more annoyed I grew at this failed attempt at painting over something great with something of a far inferior quality just because they could.

    Like I wrote above, this isnt really a game for fans of Three Houses unless they simply wanted some more in a similar world, it takes away a lot of the heart and soul of the game, genuinely tries to crap on some of the stories and characters told in Three Houses and in general doesnt value the love that fans had for that game.

    The best that I can say about it, is that its ok, at least it attempts to actually tell a story and be somewhat similar to the actual FE games, its nowhere near as successful as P5 Strikers simply based on the fact that they didnt respect what came before here and it was nearly insulting at times how much they seemingly wanted this to be the "superior" version of the Three Houses story, it even has the same innitials, TH, so you have to write the name in full.

    Hope people had more fun with this than me, because I genuinely did not have a good time. At least I tempered my expectations but that doesnt mean I wouldnt have loved for it to be better, just imagine getting answers to all the questions we still had, seeing more of Fodlan within the Three Houses setting, exploring the TWSITD in more depth, getting that golden route people were clamoring for, there was so much potential, instead it is a retelling, a worse one, one that tries to **** on the original and take its place, at least in my eyes.

Cambiar un personaje de orientación así porque si, ya creo que cae en algo forzado! Es como si un personaje LGBT lo cambiaran a hetero de la noche a la mañana.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I really wanted to enjoy this after loving Three Houses but the more I played the worse I felt about it. Gameplay barring a few quibbles (Bizarre character exclusions like Hanneman or Alois. Why can't Seteth use his personal weapon in his preferred class??? Bosses are bland as can be) is as polished as a Musou game can be with some basic but fun strategic additions to mimic a mainline FE but frankly I and I imagine most people who pick the game up are probably not really here for that, we're here for the characters and the story and this is where Three Hopes falls flat on its face. Firstly it's probably best to note that in choosing to replace Byleth Koei determined they had to make each route feel unfulfilling so as to not undermine Three Houses. This was it turns out, a poor choice as purposeful or not a unsatisfying story is still unsatisfying and given how shallow each route feels and how little importance the new and not very interesting MC, Shez plays in the narrative you have to ask... why bother? Were Three Hopes a out and out fan-service game like the previous Warriors it wouldn't matter so much but Koei decided to make fairly drastic changes to a number of characters and didn't bother to fill in the gaps. Claude gets it worst with, after 8 or so chapters of bouncing from plot to plot, a really tenuous vendetta against Rhea who plays almost 0 part in his story until he decides to kill her but Dimitri isn't far behind. Relegated to being a rather bland character who simply fights a endless conga line of rebelling generic Kingdom nobles that don't even get their own unique portrait Dimitri suffers a final bait and switch where Edelgard is replaced as the antagonist of his story (Neither Thales nor Ferdinand's overweight, bald dad with the funny voice are particularly interesting antagonists Koei and certainly not when measured against Edelgard). The biggest flaw is there's no dramatic weight to anything and there's so many reasons why it would take an essay to explain. It's a shame because stuff like what's done with Jeralt and Rodrigue and the development they have particularly with their kids are really well done and the Lore additions are interesting particularly Lindhart and Caspar's dads. Both should've been in Three Houses but the rest is just so miserable and dull that I actually feel like it retroactively makes Three Houses worse.… Expand

    Story: I only played 1 route, which was enough for me (Black Eagles). I did play a little bit of maddening mode for the Blue Lions, but I don't feel like it's worth my time. The story is a "what could happen" scenario if you played Three Houses. Nothing too great about it.

    Gameplay: It's fun for a few hours, then it becomes stale fast. There are some cool missions in the game that catch you off guard, but outside of that, this game is super repetitive. I've played Dynasty Warriors Empires 8 and spent more time on that game than this one.

    Music: The music was meh. I don't remember anything that I thought was catchy or special. The music was just there.

    Characters: There are way too many characters. I skipped many of the conversations between characters. Reason one: Too many characters that you don't give a tooth for. Two: Conversations were dull. For the characters I liked, I feel like you can't get to know them unless you have everyone talk to them, and that's not worth my time. Even then, I feel like those characters would be lacking because most of the characters could easily get kicked out of the game, and the endings wouldn't change.

    UI/Fluidity: Speedy loading time, and the UI matches the game story. Nothing much to say. This was probably the only part of the game that was amazing. The game was fluid in fights too.

    Graphics: The graphics are what you expect. Anime style that makes most characters look attractive and waifu material.

    Time of Play: I spent 40 hours playing 1 route. (On Hard Mode + Side Quests). You can easily go over 120 hours on this game because there are 3 routes. However, I still don't believe it's worth my time.

    Customization: There are a lot of ways to play this game, but let's be honest, I was only using swords and had an axe army attached to my main character. Got through the game without a sweat. You can change many things for battle or help improve your units, but what's the point if enemies aren't going to force you to change?

    Emotional Impact: This game does nothing much for me. Just a few hours of nostalgia from playing Three Houses, but that was it. I don't remember laughing, crying, etc. Instead, there were times when I felt annoyed, godly, and probably annoyed again for the fact that they took out the marriage system.

    Verdict: This game is not worth the money unless you are a "die-hard three houses fan." I liked Three Houses a lot, but this game pales compared to it. Very repetitive and lackluster. Like I said earlier, I played Dynasty Warriors Empires 8 far longer than this game, which was made for the PS4. IT WAS MADE YEARS AGO! This game was fun for a few hours, but after that, you'll never touch the game again or will power through it until you beat it like me.    … Expand

But have something that annoys me, and it is a mistake from the first game: the graphics. The first game I said "oh, bad graphics, but is the first fire emblem on switch, maybe they didn't know how to use the engine with maestry". Now have no excuse, in dock mode, it hurt eyes, evenI love this game, a spin off (and could say a alternative universe) of the Three Houses that I love so much. But have something that annoys me, and it is a mistake from the first game: the graphics.     It's a rip-off of previous game and the previous protagonist is treated like garbage. Not a fervent fan, but it's so weird to see my character's story evporating.

    Its enjoyable but like all warriors games gets repetitive. There is a lot of things to do other than just main story missions to break up the gameplay. Most of the side content is optional and does not have to be done in order to progress. I won't spoil anything, but the game is is not a sequel or the same story with different gameplay, it is entirely different. The fire emblem mechanics in a warriors game blend well and may be the best warriors gameplay i've ever played but the story is not as good as the original. Performance was fine in docked and handheld with no slowdown effecting gameplay. The levels are not super diverse but the plot doesn't provide a lot of diverse areas. If you liked three houses you will have fun with this, but if you have not it is not a great game unless you happen to like the warriors games.… Expand

    Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes stands strong as a dynamic take on the world of Three Houses however the repetitive gameplay and padded stories leave a challenge to even complete the game without using broken characters. The visuals can be very pleasing but the environments always feel the exact same. This also goes for the character interactions, which are dry as they will often repeat dialogue or say things unrelated to the story. Overall a fun interesting time is still to be had but only in short bursts. Fans of Three Houses will love this game but others will be left confused and bored.

    Three Houses was an excellent choice to adapt into a Musou, and for my first full experience with the genre, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Seeing my favorite characters in a new light was a treat, and I felt a tremendous sense of accomplishment at achieving the "golden" ending after a huge time investment. This is a can't-miss title for FE3H fans wanting to see more of their favorite students! [Issue #61 – September/October 2022, p. 75]
