Don't not buy this game, here's why...
-some of the questions are very old, example: name something you wouldn't want to forget to pack for a vacation, and phone isn't up there, but camera is.
-Poor character animation for 2021, host is creepy and characters are annoying -Host is fictional (not Steve Harvey) -Overpriced, it cost me $30, it isn't worth anywhere near that, I regret buying

-Lack of customization, limited character options, no other types of customization
-Inconsistent graphics, round change logo is very low resolution and animation used for host makes him appear blurry and out of place.

It’s not hard to screw up Family Feud… the formula is there, all you have to do is follow it. And this game does that fairly well. I especially appreciated how all of the predictive text answers are yelled by the host when he points to the board, just like the game show. It’s just too bad it’s not Richard Dawson, Ray Combs, or Steve Harvey.

No, the severe flaw in this game is an extremely obvious function the developers completely failed to include… YOU CAN’T SKIP ANYTHING!!! You can’t skip cut scenes, you can’t skip lines of spoken dialogue, you can’t skip animations… It’s insanely infuriating. That’s one the biggest insults I can imagine as a gamer – when you can read the subtitles faster than the character is speaking, but you can’t skip ahead, and are forced to listen to the rest of it at the speed the character is talking. To anyone with the reading skills of an 8th grader or better, this is just flat-out annoying.

Even at the discounted price of $10, the slow pace you are forced to experience the game at is still a huge turn-off. The only positive comment I can make about it is "Oh well... at least it's kinda like really being on the show, and experiencing everything in real time".

Except I don't play video games to experience things in real time. That's called "life", And one rule in life? UNSKIPPABLE CUTSCENES IN VIDEO GAMES ARE UNFORGIVABLE. In fact, I think I might get that tattooed on my lower back as a tramp stamp one day. It would be well worth it... I just wish Ubisoft would get one too.

This game has been phoned in significantly. The format is fun, but the effort and polish to match it isn’t there.

First off, a minor issue but one that still feels significant. There is a made up host instead of Steve Harvey or any of the past hosts. “Lucky McCoy” has zero personality. In the spirit of a lack of personality, there is extremely limited customization. For a game called

First off, a minor issue but one that still feels significant. There is a made up host instead of Steve Harvey or any of the past hosts. “Lucky McCoy” has zero personality.

In the spirit of a lack of personality, there is extremely limited customization. For a game called “family” feud, you can’t make a family. Everyone is the exact same height, weight and age, and only a small selection of full preset faces to choose to represent your whole family. The only way to add variation is clothing options, which are also very limited. Unfortunate because that’s the only thing you seem to be able to spend your earned money on.

Performance on switch is horrid, with crusty cinematic transitions and the game crashing frequently. Of the rounds I’ve played, nearly half of them have closed with an error mid round.

There seem to be no updates to refresh questions. Another reviewer said that “phone” wasn’t on the board for “something you wouldn’t want to forget to pack on vacation” but camera was. Similarly for me, phone wasn’t on the board for “something you might accidentally drop in the toilet”, which is the number 1 answer by today’s standards. You can make do, but it gets quite obnoxious.

Every time you open the game, you have to close out of several windows begging you to make an ubisoft account of some sort and sign in. There’s no way to tell it not to ask you again, so it asks you at every opportunity. It also locks certain things behind signing up for an account. No one want’s to do that Ubisoft!

There are only preset CPU families, and they’re tied to game difficulty. If you play on medium, you are always facing the exact same computer family. If you play on hard, you are always facing the exact same family. They could have made multiple to rotate it out, or had some randomization. They didn’t bother.

Overall I’m highly dissatisfied with the game. It’s minimum effort shovelware, nothing more. I love the show, and loved the idea of playing it myself. What a shame.
