    I’ll add that The Heir of Glen Kinnoch looks very nice. Again, we’re only talking about static screens, but given how ugly some hidden object games can be, it’s nice to find one that actually puts some effort into how it looks. To be sure, none of this makes Faircroft’s Antiques: The Heir of Glen Kinnoch an essential buy, nor does it mean you need to load up on the other games in the series, Faircroft’s Antiques: Treasures of Treffenburg and Faircroft’s Antiques: Home for Christmas — though both of them have the same mixture of nice visuals and interesting (by the genre’s standards) puzzles. But if, like me, you have a soft spot for a pretty innocuous genre, then this game should be right up your alley.

    Faircroft’s Antiques: The Heir of Glen Kinnoch Collector’s Edition delivers a 10-plus hour hidden object adventure that’s just as fun as the initial game in the series: Treasure of Treffenburg. More variety with minigames and puzzles is welcomed, as is better incorporation of hidden items to the plot. Only a handful of bugs knock the game down, but not enough to stop me from recommending it to genre fans.

    I was looking for a 'Hidden Object' game as a chilled out alternative to all the usual racing/platforming/adventuring games I usually play.I was looking for a 'Hidden Object' game as a chilled out alternative to all the usual racing/platforming/adventuring games I usually play. This one stood out as it seemed to offer a little more that just busy scenes and objects to find. I was very pleased to find it had some 'spot the difference' and other mini-games mixed up with the searching for things, and even the 'find the thing' puzzles had variations (riddles, silhouettes etc). I've since bought some others in the Faircroft series but I think this is best one so far of the three I've played (Christmas and Treffenburg being the other 2), although it might be because I played it first! Often on deep discount, I definitely got my money's worth from it - according to my switch profile I played for over 10 hours. Recommended if you're looking for a casual chill out between other games.… Full Review »
