This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Amazing game by all means, especially if you're looking for darker plot!
However, even with patches there are still crashes from time to time, and the way that plot is unraveling (route-wise) is a bit of a mess for me personally. In a sense that you can't play through one route start to finish, you first get a bad ending and game forces you onto next LI where you have to play through his bad ending first as well. This is important for character development and the plot, but I can't help but wish it was handled differently.

even if TEMPEST is an excellent VN for those who don’t mind otome elements and want a darker, more mature plot with a heavy focus on character development. It isn’t a flawless experience, given its plot holes, script errors, and software crashes. But even with those cons, Anastasia’s journey is compelling and one that I found worth diving into quite a few times to see the whole story.

Even if Tempest is one of those Switch otome games that dares to be different, in terms of its gameplay, story, and tone. I appreciate what it does, even if that does mean I needed to spend a lot of time with it to unlock routes and endings. It’s just a shame that I encountered so many crashes. I spend more time saving to ensure I wouldn’t lose progress than I did making sure trials went as planned. Still, it is fascinating and a good addition to the system’s library.

Even if TEMPEST is the ideal game for those who want to enter the world of otome games without being too much of a romance fan. Its dark narrative, interesting characters and mystery mechanics make the game a great contender for anyone to enjoy a genre that is receiving more and more quality releases.
