Deep down, Eternal Edge has a lot of interesting and fun ideas. Its presentation is appealing and its gameplay is not actively bad. However, its progression is an uninteresting grind, its save system is just downright awful, and its technical issues made it hard to stay interested. Every time I loaded it up I thought to myself, maybe I’ll find something really fun this time that will make it all worth it. I wanted to like it. Unfortunately two minutes later when the game finally loaded, I’d generally lost this feeling of optimism.

The game has somethings i know the devs can definitely fix in some patches like: when booting up the game dont put new game as the firstThe game has somethings i know the devs can definitely fix in some patches like: when booting up the game dont put new game as the first option because people rush and might reset their data, and loading screens. Loading things is probably going to be a good 40% of your game time because they happen randomly. Your game will freeze for a sec to load and between transitions the loading screen takes so long it also happens every death, it's what makes me stop playing for the day. The saving system is disgustingly awful because if you journey through a few mobs and side quest and accidentally wander off track and you die from having low health and if you didnt go to any of the campfires (that are so hard to find) save points, your past hour of grinding is gone. The game would be so much better if it just had autosaved every 5mins at least and the loading screens not take 10 years to load, the game would be bearable to play for a few hours. Right now its hard to play for a hour straight because a good 15 mins of that hour is loading and the loading screens. Because of the saving system and how dumb the loading screens are its hard to even want to start playing because you cant just stop playing at any time. you have to look for a campfire to save your progress and if youre low on health and cant find a campfire say goodbye to all the grinding you just did. The story in itself isnt even good and the fighting system is kind of annoying. Overall the game is not worth buying. The graphics are cute but that's about all that's appealing in this game. Expand
