    One of the absolute best shmups, not just on Switch, but of all time.

    This game is just so thrilling and fun. The soundtrack is absolutely kick-ass and the game is filled with verve from start to finish. The graphics are not exactly polished, but it doesn't really matter because they do the job and their simplicity probably contributes to the game running so well - even on Switch.    One of the absolute best shmups, not just on Switch, but of all time.

    Don't let the ugly screenshots full you, the game looks much better in person. First you get 3 full games here, 2 retro style games and the full eschatos package. Eschatos is very much an old school style shmup with fast ships and fast bullets. What sets eschatos apart from every other shmup is there is no faff. About twenty eight levels with no cut scenes or scoring between them. It'sDon't let the ugly screenshots full you, the game looks much better in person.     Eschatos' dedication to being unremarkable is actually pretty special. They rarely make them this ordinary anymore. Just don't say we didn't warn you! There are no twists here, just bullets. [Issue #58 – March/April 2022, p. 29]

    The ultimate M-KAI package, this three-strong historical evolution is the purest distillation of the developer’s vision for the shoot-em-up. Eschatos’ beautiful bombast will suck you in, fire up the adrenaline, and spit you back out with an instant just-one-more-go mindset. If that’s not worth diving into, why are you playing games at all?

    Genre newcomers will relish the intuitive gameplay of Eschatos with its simple scoring mechanics that make the relentless shooting action even more satisfying. Plus, the fact that a couple of charming bonus retro games are included is a treat.
