    This is a hard game to review because the game itself is great fun. Or it would be if it wasn't such a mess. As you play levels the game gets progressively and consistently more laggy. At times the audio glitches out and you lose parts of the sound or all sound entirely.

    Other times the UI entirely stops working and you find that for no obvious reason whatsoever you end up incapable of    This is a hard game to review because the game itself is great fun.     Other times the UI entirely stops working and you find that for no obvious reason whatsoever you end up incapable of accessing the menu wheel that you need for building rooms/casting spells/summoning creatures etc.

    Sometimes, the game crashes entirely.

    The only resolution I seem to have found for some of these issues is to close the game entirely and then reopen it and reload a save.

    All of this might be more forgivable if it were cheaper but at ~£30, it's not really acceptable that it's this buggy. The score I've given is only as high as it is because the gameplay itself, when it's working, is really, really enjoyable. Hopefully the issues can all be resolved with some patching.    … Expand
