    First things first - If you are planning to buy the game, do it on the PC. The control scheme was clearly made for mouse and keyboard, requires a lot of cursor movements and was forcefully ported to console. The gameplay consists of many moments of "find the right thing to click on", you'll spend frustrating seconds trying to align the cursor to different small objects on the screen. OnFirst things first - If you are planning to buy the game, do it on the PC. The control scheme was clearly made for mouse and keyboard, requires a lot of cursor movements and was forcefully ported to console. The gameplay consists of many moments of "find the right thing to click on", you'll spend frustrating seconds trying to align the cursor to different small objects on the screen. On PC, this is fine, on console I'd reccommend the developers to add cursor snapping to important objects, as clicking on the ground 3mm away from the shiny orb when it's obvious I want to click on it makes the controls frustrating for no reason.

    Otherwise, the gameplay is relaxing, but for me it felt way too much of that. The puzzles were too simple (mainly just "find the correct lever") while not being complicated enough to provide a challenge, especially compared to a very similar "The Room". If you're looking for a not-too-complex game, maybe for someone younger or even older in the household with little gaming experience, then I can reccomend Down in Bermudas, but it fell flat for me as a puzzle game.    … Expand

    The new game from the authors of "Agent A" is a bit of a disappointment. It's a simple hidden items / fiddler puzzler affair with a bunch of small worlds to click through.

    PROS:

    RELAXING AND UNDEMANDING: You might have trouble solving a puzzle or two, and finding the last item or two–but otherwise, this game won't really challenge you, and it allows you to play at your own (slow) pace. It will be over in a couple of hours.

    NICE GRAPHICS: This game isn't quite as charming as "Agent A", but its nice low-poly graphics is easy on the eye (if often choppy in motion).

    CONS:

    AS CASUAL AS THEY COME: It's hard to play this without feeling like you're playing one of those bland casual games for mobile. Some of the puzzles literally consist in pushing a series of buttons for no discernible reason, as if the touchscreen is the whole point the game. It just doesn't feel at ease on a console.

    COULD USE SOME POLISH: With as little text as there is in this game, you've got to wonder how hard it would have been to ask someone to fix the punctuation. Also, the touch controls are clunky, and the performance on some levels can drop into one-digit FPSs.

    DUBIOUS PRICING STRATEGY: This is one of those games that is sold at an absurdly high price (about 20 euros) just so that it can be regularly discounted by as much as 95%. It's OK to elbow for visibility on the eShop, but this kind of pricing borders on the unethical.    … Expand

    The puzzles were varied enough that they didn't get old as you travel from Island to Island trying to help the old man escape. The story was light, but that doesn't bother me so long as the games is enjoyable. The animation was cute, and the controls were easy to figure out. I appreciate that the first Island wasn't bogged down with constant tutorials.

    The port to switch is very good in general, the puzzles never repeat in a boring way and the isles are very different, the story is light but good is just a context for the adventura, the only side down is that you can complete it in 2 days.

    Working your way across the islands will only take a few hours, depending on how you go with the puzzle and orb hunting. Down in Bermuda offers a relaxing time to just potter around Bermuda and find your way back home to the life you left behind. Being an Apple Arcade game first and Switch game second, it does make it a harder sell if you have access to Apple Arcade. Down in Bermuda is worth checking out if you enjoy interactive puzzles and a charming cel-shaded island item hunts.

    Down in Bermuda is a fun little puzzle-adventure. That said, I beat it in just over three (leisurely) hours. The $19.99 launch price is hard to justify, especially for a game whose mobile origins shine through in both looks and feel. So wishlist this one for a future sale.
