This is an extremely charming Doctor Who game that could be considered a direct sequel to the fan favorite episode Blink from the series. It's a found phone game that takes probably about 2-5 hours depending on your skill level. It's a good game and a must play for any fan of the Doctor Who series. That being said, there are some small issues, specifically with the pricing. I know the company has employees to pay and a license that cost money, but 12 dollars for what you get here seems like a bit much given the length of the game and how simply the gameplay is. If you can get this on sale, it would probably be a smart idea. Expand

This is a no brainer for Whovians like this reviewer. The story is regarded as canon, expanding on one of the best episodes of the new series (Sally Sparrow should have always been a regular assistant) to provide an intriguing mystery that not only fascinates, but at time, provides some genuinely frantic moments. This may be as close to being part of the series as any of us get and sets a new benchmark for all Doctor Who titles in the future, or past. Wibbly Wobbly…

A game that heavily borrows genre trappings of other, more successful games, in order to push the Doctor Who narrative in a way that won’t be palatable to anyone except the most core of fans. It’s impressive how much effort went into developing this game, judging from the graphics assets, extensive writing, and voice acting, but it’s all in service of familiar and tedious game mechanics and a divisive story. It doesn’t reach the lofty heights of “Blink”, and like the Weeping Angels themselves, it’s an artifice best left ignored.

Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins is a wonderful game that takes advantage of the found phone formula to tell an interesting and exciting story.
