"Disney Magical World 2: Enchanted Edition has become a successful game for the Nintendo Switch. For young and old gamers who love classic Disney characters, you can always experience them in Castleton during the course of the game. While some elements are no longer good, on the whole you can spend a lot of time in the game.

As someone who has taken my family to Disney World annually (sometimes more than once) for the past 16 years (in fact, we just returned this past weekend, love the holiday decorations) I absolutely have a love for the magic of Disney and its characters. That said, as much as I appreciate the obvious effort that has been put in here to try to bring many of its characters and essence to lifeAs someone who has taken my family to Disney World annually (sometimes more than once) for the past 16 years (in fact, we just returned this past weekend, love the holiday decorations) I absolutely have a love for the magic of Disney and its characters. That said, as much as I appreciate the obvious effort that has been put in here to try to bring many of its characters and essence to life there’s no missing that the gaming experience suffers greatly from “jack of all trades, master of none” syndrome. I have no doubt it is heavily geared towards a younger and more casual audience, and perhaps the sheen of Disney magic could help smooth over inconsistencies in the experience for that audience, but so many of the mini game activities you’ll be engaged in feel half-baked at best, especially when contrasted with activities in the likes of Animal Crossing. I’d also consider the opening “on rails” experience to be a bit on the long side without a tremendous amount of return benefit since the most fun elements in the game are typically centered around exploring the game world and discovering its many secrets and characters. For die hard Disney fans who aren’t as seasoned it will be easier to ignore the cracks in the facade, but for gamers who’ve been around this would more likely play as an experience to be endured to see everything more than whole-heartedly enjoyed.

Disney Magical World 2: Enchanted Edition is a remake of a 2015 game originally released for the Nintendo 3DS but the change in format does not harm the experience in any way. This life simulation game is full of Disney content to explore and live out, and with its relaxed game pace, accessible difficulty level, and spaces to explore, it's a very fitting experience for players of all ages and skill levels who want to explore the Disney world at their own pace.

Like the original release on the 3DS, Disney Magical World 2: Enchanted Edition is fit for younger players who can't quite grasp Animal Crossing: New Horizons and the hardcore Disney fan. The simple activities, brisk pace, and overall Disney vibe is a perfect fit. For everyone else, it has a good amount to do but nothing that captures your attention like Nintendo's game. If you're tired of being on your own deserted island, then Disney Magical World 2 will briefly scratch the life simulation itch, but you can skip this one if you're still paying off loans, are deep in the "Stalk Market," or knee-deep in designing houses for other animal visitors.

I think this game is perfect for a hardcore Disney fan who wants an incredibly low-stakes game with very chill vibes where you hang out with your favorite Disney characters. Having this cool, cute Disney World has a strong appeal to it, and the final result is a polished game. I came out of this a little bored by the slow pace and limited gameplay, but in his review, Daan was more, ehrm, enchanted by the title on 3DS. Your mileage may vary.
