Dec 4, 2025Demonschool is my favorite indie game of the year. It delivers a solid story, a wonderfully diverse cast of unique characters, and a battle system that puts a fresh, clever twist on tactical RPGs. All in all, it’s a delightfully engaging way to spend your time.

Dec 3, 2025The tactical RPG Demonschool was certainly worth the wait after numerous delays on the Nintendo Switch. The game’s puzzle-based combat and comedic tones distinguish it from the retro influences it honors with a loving wink, and it never wears out its welcome.

Nov 27, 2025Sometimes, when I review a game, I expect to be an outlier. And my gut tells me that will be the case when this review is published, and I feel free to check out other review scores. But I cannot in good faith give a game that I want to like a good score; I have to rate what’s in front of me. And what I see is a lack of character growth, a lack of accessibility, and a lack of clear graphics. An interesting narrative only carries so much weight. It quickly makes one exhausted.
