  • Summary: Turbo-Charged Pinball is back. Updated with bigger sprites, more baddies, more secrets and of course MORE BULLETS. Demon's Tilt pushes the limits of the Video Pinball genre with SHMUP & Hack N' Slash elements.

With its single table, often obtuse mechanics and sometimes brutal difficulty, Demon's Tilt isn't going to be to everybody's tastes, but if you have even the slightest interest in pinball games then you really should check this out. While more tables would have been welcome and it's a shame that some of the visual effects have been toned down on Switch, what we have here is a game of stunning depth and complexity which rewards methodical players who aren't afraid to invest a lot of time learning all of the secrets and hidden tactics. The ability to play the game in portrait mode makes this Switch port even more appealing.

Great retro graphics, but updated for the capabilities of new hardware. Also, TATE mode lets you play this game vertically, a totally unique feature for the Switch! Works great with Flip Grip! Expand

I didn't play much of Dragon's Fury for the Genesis but I played Devil's Crush for Turbo Grafx quite extensively and love the game. I don't mind that there is only one board since it is three tiered and there are bonus boards. The board also changes quite frequently. The music is fantastic too.

The Nintendo Life review mentions Alien Crush, which I've played extensively, and Jaki Crush which I've played a little bit. If you enjoy these pinball games I highly recommend Kyuutenkai: Fantastic Pinball for the Saturn. It was never released here but it is made in the same style and is amazing.

And I’ll say this as close to a successor as we’ll ever get. While Demon’s Tilt is tough as hell, it feels good to play, an even tho it only has 4 soundtracks (which you can set to play randomly) these tracks are pretty neat and remind of the good ol’ mega drive era. If you like pinball games with a twist, this is a must or if you just wanna try something new I’ld say it’s well worth the 20 bucks. Expand
