    "Coromon is very much made for veterans of the Pokémon series who have been itching for a challenge that Game Freak doesn’t seem to want to give them. With it’s refreshing roster full of interesting creatures and its compelling – although perhaps a little anticlimactic – story, the game brought back feelings of playing the original Pokémon Black & White. With it’s refreshing roster full of interesting creatures and its compelling – although perhaps a little anticlimactic – story, the game brought back feelings of playing the original Pokémon Black & White. The tweaks TRAGsoft have made to the formula are largely positive, even if there’s the occasional misstep, making this my favourite Monster Taming game on the Switch so far. I hope Coromon continues to evolve in future instalments, as there’s a lot of potential here for an outstanding franchise."

    Fans from older Pokemon games gonna like this game. It’s good and have many things i loved about the older Pokemon games. Nice Coromons to catch, nice story, good gameplay and a good retro feel. The lenght of the game is also good the only thing i not always liked was some puzzles.

    Thanks for this Amazing Game I feel again 12 years old! Top style and it's definitely not a copy of pkmn. It's Amazing pls trust me and get it!

    HOLY SMOKES this game is absolutely fantastic. It looks so polished and well thought out. I-I have never played such a good monster taming game. I was used to very low standards with all the mainline Pokemon games that I forgot what makes them fun and interesting.
    I really don't know if I can ever play a mainline Pokemon game again. lol.
    It has charm, polish AND style. Ok, now back to    HOLY SMOKES this game is absolutely fantastic. It looks so polished and well thought out. I-I have never played such a good monster taming game.     So far this game is fantastic, one of the best Pokemon games i've played since Ruby and Sapphire. Not sure why it seems to be getting a few review bombs. Definitely worth the price for what it is, I wasn't expecting something so polished

    Easily one of the best pokemon games, and that includes the mainline games. This game fixes so much wrong that still goes unfixed in pokemon. A nuzlocke mode you can turn on and off at will and even modify? Shiny pokemon are more common and have stat boosts? The map shows you if there are pokemon in the area you haven't caught yet? An in-game guide showing the weakness/resistance table asEasily one of the best pokemon games, and that includes the mainline games. This game fixes so much wrong that still goes unfixed in pokemon. An in-game guide showing the weakness/resistance table as well as how status effects work? Not tying HMs to pokemon moves? Plenty of exp share items to control how and if you want exp share? Character customization including wearable items that have use like a lantern helmet. Gym battles that are actually super challenging?
    I don't understand how some critics crap on this game. All the coromon have really interesting designs. FFS theres a ghost kitten you can feed treats too and a giant lightning tiger! The SP system is a lot more interesting than PP as you can't just blast the most powerful moves every fight and have to take into consideration how you want to manage SP. All the pixel art is animated in battle which looks really cool. This game is just awesome, and if you love pokemon, you should absolutely buy it. Did I mention you can capture other trainers coromon and there are multiple master balls?    … Expand

    Coromon might be a new game, but the idea is all too familiar. However, different game settings, a new story, over 100 different monsters and a vast world to explore make this game a fun experience. If you love the retro Pokemon games, I definitely recommend checking out Coromon.

    However you slice it, you’re ultimately getting a slavish homage to the early-era Pokémon games, but one that can’t get anywhere near their quality. Coromon is let down by having even fewer monsters to collect than the very first Pokémon, and some amateurish production values and gameplay design that Game Freak, for all its faults with the presentation of its own games, would never let happen. It’s still fun, because it’s so akin to Pokémon that of course it’s fun, but Coromon’s immediate rival, Nexomon (also available on Switch), actually tries to subvert some of the expectations of the genre, and comes off as the most interesting work as a consequence.

    Coromon has so much going on, but it’s not difficult to play. This game is just really entertaining and fully engaging with plenty of challenging battles between creatures you capture and train. It’s got so many different paths that will set up as you continue to play, cause each choice you decide will create the journey you’ll need to continue on to complete the game. I feel that this game is really something worth playing. It’s perfect for all styles of gamers, beginners to expert RPG gamers, and will keep you playing over and over again and again.
