    The game is a failed attempt to bring back this mythical saga. The title innovates with several game modes that are affected by its bad gameplay and input lag. Also noteworthy is its poor graphic section and its acceptable sound section.

    Evolving from the gun’n’run type to the shoot’em up genre, Contra Rogue Corps misses too many shots. Everything looks like it’s 10 years late, from visuals to gameplay mechanics and sound design.

    There’s an earnestness to Rogue Corps that makes it even sadder to see the game fail as it has. There have been updates since the game launched, but nothing thus far has been able to elevate Rogue Corps to the standard of quality set by past series installments. If Konami wants to modernize its franchises for future generations, the message should be clear: fans want what made those classics so endearing to begin with, not misguided radical redesigns.

    Contra: Rogue Corps has some good ideas. The twin-stick action could have worked if it hadn’t been so fussy and inaccurate, the choice of characters could have been great if they’d had a bit more variety and the deep customisation and online game modes could have added longevity if they hadn't been attached to such a drab and messy-looking game. In the end, nothing about this endeavour feels in any way related to the Contra games you know and love, and you’d do much better to grab the Contra Anniversary Collection at a much lower price – or try out one of the many excellent retro twin-stick shooters or side-scrolling action games already available on the platform.

    Great game that combines all the best things from all other Contra, multiple characters with unique weapons like hard corps, run n gun actionGreat game that combines all the best things from all other Contra, multiple characters with unique weapons like hard corps, run n gun action with multiple points of view like contra legacy of war and C the contra adventure and of course you have the aliens, mutants and other aberrations just like shattered soldier except not that disgusting , Nakazano the original producer of the Contra Series really outdone himself this is the real Contra EVOLUTION, please give it a try at least before judging im sure if you look beyond the nostalgia googles of the classic side scroller contra games you ll see an amazing game… Expand

    Acheté pour 2€ en solde sur le Nintendo Eshop, ce jeu m'a surpris à plus d'un titre!
    Très addictif dès le début du jeu grâce à son gameplay précis et vif, aidé par un frame-rate fluide et sans faille tout au long du jeu, une histoire joliment mise en image façon comics, et un bestiaire relativement varié, Contra est un excellent divertissement! Je l'ai fini en mode solo et je peux vous dire qu'il est vraiment difficile dans les niveaux supérieurs, mais que cette difficulté est très progressive, certains niveaux fourmillent d'ennemis présents simultanément à l'écran, un vrai défouloir!
    Les graphismes sont parfois grossiers mais il y a des passages plutôt agréables à l'oeil, toujours dans l'optique de conserver un frame-rate stable pour la Switch, chose assez rare dans sa ludothèque.
    Les bruitages sont très bons mais la musique est largement en retrait, anecdotique.
    Un gros bémol sur la gestion des équipements et de leur amélioration, je trouve l'interface hyper compliquée et on ne gagne pas du tout assez d'argent dans les niveaux pour pouvoir acheter ou faire évoluer son arsenal. La seule solution: vendre en masse les items récoltés, bien qu'on en ait besoin pour justement augmenter la puissance de ses armes, très bizarre, mais bon on s'en sort dans les grandes lignes.
