    This game is completely unplayable in handheld. You can switch the orientation so it is visible in portrait mode, but there’s no way to change the controls to match. Absolutely unbelievable that they would release a game for the switch that can’t be played portably. Simply don’t by this game until the patch the controls to work if you want to play undocked. Shameful.

    Lots of fun to play in docked mode, but in handheld mode it's unplayable. The aspect ratio is completely off, it feels like you're playing on a Gameboy. And the controls give you cramps after a few minutes of playing. They should've let you adjust the button lay-out.

    An absolute horrible and lazy port. First of all, no online play? Really? Second, WHY did we get the arcade versions of contra? Easily the worst versions of contra by far. Hit detection is all messed up, the jumping is awkward and clunky, bullets don't go where you want them to when aiming in all 8 directions, etc. This collection is ALSO really just 3 games with different regional portsAn absolute horrible and lazy port. It may SEEM like a good deal because you're getting "10 games" when really you only get 3 games and different regional ports which add literally NOTHING to the other versions, just your main characters are robots and not humans. The only good thing about this is that it has contra 3, and a digital scrapbook that's annoying to navigate. Very disappointed in this konami, I'm glad I'm getting a refund.… Expand

CONTRA Anniversary Collection bénéficie d'une émulation très solide et techniquement fidèle au matériel original. Les fans apprécieront également l'Ebook inédit dévoilant des artworks magnifiques sur la saga. Quand5 jeux cultes, avec leurs versions japonaises en bonus, pour moins de 20 euros parmis lesquels 2 monuments des jeux actions shooter 16bits, cette compilation est de qualité.     Contra is recommended to those that like a good challenge. Slowly, players learn it’s patterns and require less and less lives and continues to conquer each stage. Those are old games, but their quality shine even today.

    All in all, the Contra Anniversary Collection is a great package, it’s a slice of history which perfectly partners the recent Castlevania Anniversary Collection. I’d definitely like to see more of these, even if I am terrible at them.
