Nov 22, 2018While not the deepest game nor the biggest game it certainly delivers a phenomenal couch co-op experience. It is truly a marvel how much fun this is when playing with four friends as you body slam each other off the stage, in holes or various other map hazards and frankly with couch co-op being a dying breed its great some developers are looking out for us!

Feb 5, 2019As a quick refresher between Grand Prix in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Circle of Sumo will serve well, but that’s the height of its potential. As far as local multiplayer goes, you can do a lot better elsewhere on the Switch eShop, especially in a post-Ultimate world.

Nov 26, 2018Overall, Circle of Sumo is a simplistic and uninspired multiplayer experience. A lack of single-player content means the game is only worth your time if you know you are able to get one or more people to join in whenever you want to play, and even then I wouldn’t recommend it. There are so many other better multiplayer games on the Switch that also have a decent amount of solo content. I did like the fact that you can unlock a number of cool sumo wrestling venues, but that’s one of the only bright spots here. Circle of Sumo doesn’t last more than a few minutes in the ring.

Nov 21, 2018In case you are solitary fighter, you will probably immediately look elsewhere looking for a deeper and less rowdy challenge.
