    Weary travelers of this underworld domain, exhausted by their long journey, are going to take the next step on their journey...
    But before that, why not take the bite out of that tasty steaming hot apple pie, just like your nana used to make!

    You are a ferocious beast, a guardian of the underworld, the untamed and wild cooking cat!
    As the master chef of the underworld, let the traveling souls a taste of mortal food, to rejuvenate them on their long journey.

    GATHERING
    Plants do grow in the underworld. But they are fragile in nature, requiring constant care for them to grow in this foreign environment.

    FISHING
    Some stray fish also snucks into the underworld from time to time.
    Which is extremely good news for you, because which real "Cat Chef" does not enjoy a bit of fishing (and subsequently sashimi) on the side?

    COOKING
    The solemn and silent spookies of the underworld wish only to feast on mortal food - the best relief from their grueling travel.
    Arm yourself with the cooking utensils and prepare the best dishes you can think of. Your ghastly customers are a bit reluctant to part with their coin, though.
    Make sure, to "woo" them properly into buying stuff. And be careful, as some of them are daring enough to steal the products of your hard labor!

    LEARNING
    Good recipes don't grow on trees. By expanding your catalog of ingredients, you will inevitably learn more recipes to cook.

    I really wanted to like this game. I've got about 8 hours into it on my Switch and frequently encountering a glitch. The item interaction withI really wanted to like this game. I've got about 8 hours into it on my Switch and frequently encountering a glitch. The item interaction with the ZR and Y button function freezes/doesn't work and freezes the character. I can't interact with other characters, pick up/drop food/ingredients, or even move. When I pick something up, it just looks stuck in the cat's mouth, and I can't move. I've tried different controllers and restarted. The only thing that seemed to help was deleting and reinstalling the software, but I'm now to a point where that has stopped working, so I'm just stuck with this 10-dollar glitchy brick.

    The controls are not intuitive and I struggled at the beginning until realizing that ingredients need to be added to the trunk before you can cook them. Item selection is wonky, at best. You'll need to re-que your cursor after doing just about anything in the item menus. I wasn't ready for the cyclical, but long non-growing season period, so stock up when you can. There's some sort of a gauge in the upper right regarding the seasons, but it's hard to read. You'll find a few recipes in the beginning but in order to advance you need to cook the right food for the NPCs, which you can figure out by talking to ghosts. Your little buddy will need to rest frequently, so keep an eye on the unassuming energy gauge in the lower right.

    If Art Games Studio fixes the glitches I'll happily return and finish out the game, even with the awkward gameplay mechanics.    … Expand
