I've got about 8 hours into it on my Switch and frequently encountering a glitch. The item interaction with the ZR and Y button function freezes/doesn't work and freezes the character. I can't interact with other characters, pick up/drop food/ingredients, or even move. When I pick something up, it just looks stuck in the cat's mouth, and I can't move. I've tried different controllers and restarted. The only thing that seemed to help was deleting and reinstalling the software, but I'm now to a point where that has stopped working, so I'm just stuck with this 10-dollar glitchy brick.
The controls are not intuitive and I struggled at the beginning until realizing that ingredients need to be added to the trunk before you can cook them. Item selection is wonky, at best. You'll need to re-que your cursor after doing just about anything in the item menus. I wasn't ready for the cyclical, but long non-growing season period, so stock up when you can. There's some sort of a gauge in the upper right regarding the seasons, but it's hard to read. You'll find a few recipes in the beginning but in order to advance you need to cook the right food for the NPCs, which you can figure out by talking to ghosts. Your little buddy will need to rest frequently, so keep an eye on the unassuming energy gauge in the lower right.
If Art Games Studio fixes the glitches I'll happily return and finish out the game, even with the awkward gameplay mechanics.…Full Review »
