This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Everything leading up to the end of the game is not bad. 2 things annoyed me along the way.

    1. There is not a full sense of consistent direction in what you need to do.
    2. The two buttons required to open the power room. No indication what you have to do there.

The ending has a twist, you beat the boss, then after all of that, after literally the king tells you that the other guy should send you back after getting the last artifact, he turs around and tells you to go back theough the main area to search for BS and only THEN will he send you back. They are floating heads! Go float around and get everything! Why do I have to spend my time searching for stuff that should not have been affected by a damn EMP in the first place!

Again, everything leading up to that was mostly ok.

Car Quest is a novel and relatively enjoyable idea, with a gameplay loop that can be satisfying, but samey environments and repetitiveness eventually make it a tiring experience that can drive you up the wall.

That's really what Car Quest comes down to: simplicity. It's a simple game built on a simple premise, but its focus on getting the fundamentals right means it delivers where it needs to. It's fun, relaxing escape, and sometimes that's just what you need.
