    Payed 2 bucks for this game on sale and even 2 bucks is to much.
    Controls are broken and hard to figure out. It's a mobile game and that's it.

    The potential for something great is there, I was hoping to learn more about cars by playing but the experience is shallow and boring.
    The gameplay is just going off a checklist to buy the parts it tells you to buy, and change them in a very automated way that the game might as well just play itself. The most game like things in the whole game was choosing the color of the car and most other time it still looks ugly. The game had loads of potential, potential to teach you about the part you were replacing, their functionality, and challenge you to figure out what's wrong with the car and fix it and use your knowledge to do so. But the game can't really be called that much of a game, it's also not a learning tool, so it fails in both aspects.    … Expand

    I saw this game on sale, and I loved Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 on the PC. I thought this was the same game since the Nintendo Switch should be capable of running Car Mechanic Simulator 2018. However, I immediately realized that this is not the same game. This is a cheap, knock off of the PC version. This game has zero of the features that made the PC version so good. Every aspect ofI saw this game on sale, and I loved Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 on the PC.     I want to say this is amazing game at switch but if you can drive these cars. This game might be one of the best switch car game.

    Not a whole lot of gameplay here. The game initially appears as though you'd be diagnosing and then choosing parts but there's no meaningful player input in the matter. Diagnostics are just given and then you remove old parts sell them and buy new parts. There's no strategy in money managing either which was the sort of last hope for playing something interesting here. You're pretty muchNot a whole lot of gameplay here. You're pretty much just handed more than what you need, you never need to consider buying cars with parts to salvage for another or anything you just sell everything broken, then search for the replacement parts buy them and install them. No thinking required. it's just menu scrolling and hitting the correct button.
    As many have pointed out the interface and button layout is also pretty odd.
    There's a nice graphic of the internals you can see, and the painting minigame are the highlights. The painting minigame is just moving the joycons in circles to clear rust before painting. It's not fun.
    Do NOT buy.

    I bought this on sale and got some use out of it, but I've read that this is the mobile version, and it really is pretty bare bones. Not many cars. No test driving them when finished. (Old) Mobile quality graphics. That said, if you don't mind any of this, you can wrench on cars a bit after you figure out the controls...which are kinda wonky.

    Be aware, this game is a total scam. It's not even worth one dollar. You just click menus, pick parts and replace them without any strategy or idea. Worst game i've ever played!

    Car Mechanic Simulator is free on phones, but £14.99 on the Switch eShop. Just play it on the phone – you won’t play it more than once, anyway.

    Car Mechanic Simulator on Nintendo Switch cannot be compared to its PC version. It is just a porting from the mobile version, which can be freely downloaded on both Android and iOS.
