Cake Bash is a great little party game with a lovely variety of mini-games, adorable playable characters and beautiful animation.

This fun and good looking party game works well as a single player experience but as with most party games, it's on multiplayer that it really comes out at its best. While the novelty factor can wear off, there's enough content and unlocking here that will keep players around cake decoration, locally and online, for many enjoyable hours.

If you do have a group of friends to play with though this is a title that will stay solidly in rotation for games nights for months to come. It’s just the right blend of depth, fun, and unpredictability.

Cake Bash is sweet and tasty all-out multiplayer mayhem, even if it lacks a little depth. There’s enough variety in the mini games to keep you playing, especially in Get Tasty mode. However, we wish that unlocking mini games and stages in Recipe mode were more clearly laid out. Things can also get a little hectic and confusing on Nintendo Switch’s handheld display, with docked play definitely preferable. If you’re after another frantic and fun co-op party game, Cake Bash is a great addition to your Switch library.

Cake Bash nails its aesthetic, but while the quality is there, there isn’t a great quantity of content, so the experience gets stale quickly. Still, with local and online multiplayer, it remains a perfect quick pick-me-up – especially for families.

Overall, Cake Bash is an immensely charming experience that may or may not be worth the price of admission depending on the individual. I, for one, will absolutely be busting this treat out at parties once the opportunity arises.

Cake Bash is cute, colourful and a delightful time with friends but it’s hindered by a lack of content. While we enjoyed unlocking new cakes and trying to be as tasty as possible over the first couple of hours, the slim mini-game selection results in repetition creeping its way in far sooner than you’d want. Cake Bash is a tasty party game but just like eating a cake, you’re left wanting more.

By far the most fun party game on Stadia. It is a laugh and a half with my family. We have enjoyed it so much that I bought Resident EvilBy far the most fun party game on Stadia. It is a laugh and a half with my family. We have enjoyed it so much that I bought Resident Evil Village just for the 4th controller!

The mini games (except for wasps) are easy to play and super fun to dominate at! Warning game could cause a need for marriage counseling.

Game also has cross play with PC but I have only used local play.
