If you like Persona definitely check out Blue Reflection Second Light as well. You don't need to play the first game to understand the story but it does enhance the experiences of this masterful sequel.

I didn't expect much but this blows away all the RPGs I've played this year. Fun combat with cool characters and music!

Blue Reflection 2 is a fantastic game just like the first game, rarely a RPG I would replay after finish but this is the exception

One of the most surprising games of the year for me. Going in I had no expectations, but I had a great time with this game. The combat is unique, the game is fairly long, and the story is very interesting and heartwarming. Definitely top 10 games of 2021.

Very very solid game, lots of cutscene and story, where you get to enjoy time with friends, something I wish I had. The combat mechanic is unquiet to say the least, its like a turn base jrpg mix with final fantasy timer, its weird but I don't hate it at all. The only criticism, I have is for the New Game plus. You basically carry over all of your database and half of all talent point earn.Very very solid game, lots of cutscene and story, where you get to enjoy time with friends, something I wish I had. You basically carry over all of your database and half of all talent point earn. No item, no level, nothing else. Some may think this is a good idea, but I would said at least give us a choice whatever we want it to be carry over or not, since I Love to collect stuff, I am the hoarding type and i love to grind my characters, so that put a wrench in everything.
The replayability of this will solely relay on future DLC, since it reset you every time you start a new game plus. I have purchase the season pass so I am looking forward to see how good these new DLC they are when they release Jan 31, 2022.

OK, a very quick admission here that I don’t know much about the world of anime and that can make “getting” games like this one more of a challenge I think. The premise is definitely a bit unusual, with you playing the part of a young woman who has become stranded in a mysterious and isolated place with a few other young women, and the goal of the game is then to explore, develop relationships, craft helpful items, and occasionally battle some unusual monsters while trying to uncover what the hell is going on. Combat here is more “functional” than exciting, only occasionally feeling like a strategy is really required for success, so if you’re looking for satisfying battles to break up everything else you’ll be disappointed. If, however, you’re of the mind that the journey and relationships you build along the way are a bit more vital than the destination you may enjoy the slow progression as the characters get to know more about themselves and each other as they struggle in these unusual circumstances. Probably best matched for people already in this headspace, and not necessarily for a random gamer just looking for a cool RPG experience, it’s an acquired taste for sure but likely appealing to the right audience.

I'm just outright pissed off at this game. It's expensive too. I've played 45 minutes and already counting my losses.

Don't get me wrong here, anime girls are great but when the characters look like 12 year olds and sound even younger, it is not great. Almost every scene the camera starts at the ass, legs, or **** It is a school setting but these don't look like college girls. They

Almost every scene the camera starts at the ass, legs, or **** It is a school setting but these don't look like college girls. They look like children just out of primary school but with big ****.

I am currently playing Sakura Wars on my PS4 and that has fanservice overload but it is legal at least. They all look like page 3/glamour model sort of age. Blue Reflection is cartoon paedophilia. Who the **** is seeing these games and saying yeah this is good, sexualising minors and then publishing it. Well I'm pretty sure if I check the game case I will find out and I won't be buying any of their **** ever again.

I am not some prude that doesn't like sex, or porn, or even hentai. I just really don't like that they have done it with characters that if converted from digiworld in to real people, would be 12 years old at best.

Looking past this paedo **** the story was a straight up Persona 5 copy. App appears on phone, can't delete, transport to new world because of app. For the record Persona is hugely over rated too.

Shame because the OST and colour pallette seemed quite nice.

I just bought 7 games this and Caligula 2 for Switch, Trails of Cold Steel, Sakura Wars and Kena for PS4, Xenoblade X for WiiU and FE Awakening for 3DS and barring one that I haven't played yet (ToCS), this is the worst. Like the others are all good. Some outright masterpieces, so there is a list of random alternatives that are all better choices. You're welcome.

Blue Reflection: Second Light is a JRPG that brings us a very interesting experience and theme, as well as an addictive combat system, exquisite soundtrack and a captivating plot. Second Light is a very recommended work to fans of JRPGs who enjoy building bonds between characters and going into their plots to find out more and more, which makes this game a welcome arrival on the Nintendo Switch catalogue.

If you enjoy cozy games, Second Light is a no-brainer to recommend; just don't go into it expecting anything demanding or super innovative. [Issue #57 – January/February 2022, p. 73]

Within its limitations that are typical to Gust games, Second Light shows a care of the developers to create the most pleasant title possible. It’s a game that can be considered good or even great in all of it’s aspects, however it doesn’t contain an aspect to call it excellent. It is certainly a memorable experience due to its battle system and the casual conversations with each character in this summer vacation adventure and one that I recommend to those that are already familiar with Gust output.
