Mar 1, 2020I've only put a few hours into it, but so far, this is a strong contender for Most Disappointing Game of 2020. It's very shallow and quite janky. It feels like the positive reviews are purely based off the style, which I'll admit, is pretty cool. Just play Hotline Miami or the excellent Apeout instead.

May 2, 2020Solid! It doesn't bring anything new in its mechanics and Gameplay overall but it is a fun time.

Dec 11, 2021Good idea with mediocre gameplay and bugs. Many times you'll see how the hit box of the enemies make no sense or lag with the jump and attack button. Is really disappointing because it would be a really interesting and worth game with an average gameplay, but unfortunately is too bad.

Sep 22, 2021Hilarious, fun, replayable chaos! I love this title and always walk away from it with a smile.

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Jul 23, 2020A stylized action fighting game that you will easily get tired of, but on the other hand it can also entertain and reward patient players. [Issue#303]

Apr 21, 2020Bloodroots is madness in all the best ways… and in one of the worst. Difficulty is well balanced, and even when combat gets truly maddening, the experimentation the title offers is so much fun, it's hard to complain. However, when trying to platform through the many perilous environments, it becomes obvious where its faults lie. The camera and controls in these sections work against what's otherwise a very fun brawler, and drag the experience back from true excellence.

Mar 26, 2020Bloodroots is like a Hotline Miami set in a western world, with a little touch of Tarantino. Play it, kill and have fun.
