Fun activities to play together with your family & friends. The game does well on stimulating the brain. However, some times it does feel that whoever has the fastest finger wins.

This game is incredibly nostalgic for me. The original Big Brain Academy was the game I got with my DS, and I loved it. Seeing this series return after over a decade truly makes me happy. Seeing this series return after over a decade truly makes me happy. I wasn't expecting this game to be anything special, but I've fallen in love with it in the few hours I have played. Playing these brain building minigames is very fun, and I often got a wave of excitement when playing a minigame for the first time and going "I remember this!" There are also some from the wii title, which I'm sure will excite players who played that game. The structure of minigames and tests are overall the same, but there are also some new modes to make this game even better. The ghost clash mode has you fight other player's ghost. It does require a nintendo account to use the internet, but there is no lag whatsoever, and if you don't have an account, you can go against the ghosts of your Switch's other profiles. I actually recommend making more profiles for this game if you don't share the system with anyone else. You can compete with yourself, and ghost clash is much more challenging against yourself. Overall I adored this mode, it's very addicting, even if the difficulty progression is somewhat slow. You can also unlock a hard mode for the minigames, where they start at a higher difficulty. It's not any different from regular practice other than that, but it's a nice addition. Some of the minigames are actually easier in hard mode, while some are incredibly difficult. Unlocking this mode is quick and easy too, I was able to get at least a gold on all but one minigame on my first try, and the last one I got on the second try. (I also got platinum medals on 4 out of the 20 minigames on the first try, but that's not important) It may seem small having only 4 modes, but you will keep coming back to play more. It's addicting and very fun. There is also multiplayer, so technically there are 5 modes. This game is also surprisingly clean and polished. The artstyle is charming, even if it isn't as stunning as other recent nintendo games, and there's no loading times. The game only takes like 5 seconds to start once you open it, and that's it. I don't think I've ever seen a game load so fast so consistently. The $30 price is pretty fair, especially since it's cheaper than the original game was at launch. I may be hyping this game up as something amazing, but I want you to lower your expectations going in. That's how I was able to fall in love with it so quickly. I didn't think this would be my favorite Nintendo developed game of 2021 (favorite original at least, sorry Miitopia), but I was pleasantly surprised by this small but charming bundle of nostalgia. I'm glad a new generation of kids can get to experience this, and even if you're an adult it's still a great time. Expand

Played it for a bit and it's actually pretty addictive.
It's mostly fun the first couple of hours then gets a bit boring.

This didn't really hit home for my SO and I, as a two player challenge game. We were expecting a lot more, but the minigames mostly feel simple and uninteresting. Some of them are enjoyable, but not all. And you can get through them all during one session. Was really expecting a lot more.

Nintendo managed to create another hit for the Switch with Big Brain Academy: Head to Head. The tasks are interesting and challenging. Unfortunately, the current scope is not very large, but it is still enough for a nice activity during the day. The controls are easy to use and the input options are well done. So fans of the genre and owners of a Switch of joy will have with "Big BrainNintendo managed to create another hit for the Switch with Big Brain Academy: Head to Head. There is absolutely no reason not to play this game. It is addictive and very fun both in one player as well as local multiplayer.

The game is a lot of fun, you can play it very well with family and friends. There are good mini-games in all categories and each of them is individual and challenging. Especially the multiplayer mode and the test mode are a lot of fun.

Depending on how much you enjoy pushing yourself, the fun of Big Brain Academy may wear thin relatively quickly for solo players, but if you're in a situation where you can play with others locally – like quarantining at home with your spouse and kids for nearly a full two years now – Big Brain Academy is an absolute must-buy. Featuring an excellent selection of minigames and very well implemented controls, this new chapter in the Big Brain series is more than welcome to the Nintendo Switch, where it will certainly help with fun multiplayer sessions, whether locally or online.

Big Brain Academy returns in decent shape – it’s still a simple but enjoyable and engaging game that additionally exercises your brain. Possibly. A doctor’s opinion would be welcome.
