It is basically a management sim, where you have to pay the bills (groceries, gas, rent, health care), entirely by buying stuff at various venues (yard sales, thrift stores, antique shops, etc) and then hoping they sell for more at auction.
    The game can be difficult at first, in that unexpected bills can come up and if you don't have enough in the bank, it is game over. However, once you get the hang of it, this game is extremely addictive.
    A basic round of gameplay is as follows:
    You find a garage sale or hit the thrift store. You examine stuff to see if there's anything valuable (e.g. the creator's signature is on it, or something distinctive), haggle the price down to something you can afford, and buy it. When you have accumulated a number of items, you take them to the auction house, where they are examined for their general value. If they meet the minimum criterion for being in auction, they will be sold when the auction day takes place. While waiting for the auction day, you go to other sales and keep trying to find more items that are worth buying (sometimes examining will tell you about a flaw in the item, meaning you should avoid it at all costs).
    Shopkeepers will get upset if you try to examine for too long, but there are some tricks you can use to get a good look at everything (e.g. steam comes out of their ears, indicating they are about to stop you from looking. When this happens, just buy something else that is dirt cheap, and it reduces their anger enough that you can keep examining).
    There are also upgrades you can purchase to increase your skill at examining and haggling, allowing you access to more and more expensive items/stores.
    Overall, it's a lot of fun to play, and once you 'restart' a few times, you figure out what you are doing and can navigate the flea markets and garage sales looking for that hidden gem to scoop up.
    My only complaint is the menus could have been optimized a little better, but that is a small gripe, that is offset by the fun I had in this relaxing management sim.    … Full Review »
