Sky Skipper isn't worth buying to enjoy as a game, but it is worth buying as a historical curiosity – and to show support to those who brought it back to life! [Issue #37 – January/February 2019, p. 26]

Gameplay is simple but not massively varied. It doesn't get dull, however, and there's certainly fun to be found in striking a balance between completing the levels quickly and plotting a route to maximise your point-scoring; online leaderboards add to the replayability. It's not quite the lost classic some would have you believe, but Arcade Archives Sky Skipper can still entertain with its animal-rescuing, gorilla-bombing shenanigans.

While Arcade Archives Sky Skipper may have some flaws, going for a high score can still be fun as long as you know what you're getting into. It's a game that likely wasn't fully completed, but I'm still really excited that this historical curiosity has an official release. I would still recommend it to classic arcade lovers, Nintendo fans, and anyone interested in gaming history.
