Maneater, for all its problems, at least had some personality. Strip that away — along with anyone else remotely good about the game, and you’re left with…well, you’re left with Angry Alligator.

Angry Alligator, in the vein of titles like Hungry Shark or other “eat to evolve” titles over the years, isn’t made for the hardcore set, it’s style and tone are more geared toward either younger or more casual gamers just looking to enjoy some silly chomping fun, exploration, and maybe some laughs as you bloodlessly take down an occasional human. I really, really hope that at some point Pro Controller support is put in place as my drifting joycons being required for play made the camera much more of a struggle than it likely should have been, but that may be more of a personal beef. An issue I did have with the overall design though was a lack of concrete structure and maybe even some boundaries to help guide your progression. I may just be a maverick gamer who’ll exploit any opportunity given to me, though you could argue a random youngster would be roughly the same, but once I set out in the bigger world (complete with elements I couldn’t use yet) I’m not sure I could have even found my way back to where I should have stayed early on. Granted, randomly attacking things for health and food, and participating in some odd mini games on occasion, was fun enough but the experience did feel lacking in structure.

    Its okay
Angry Alligator is a survival game wher you play as an alligator of your choice and take down the humans, also can we all please agree that animals aren’t dumbies and can say humans and not hoomans, please, I am begging you stop.
Basically youre running around a swamp area, eating and doing little mini games to level up.. Its almost like a very very very budget sized Man Eater, you get one map here, the game is super unpolished, and there is not much variety at all.. and you really only get bigger and unlock new things to deal with eating and destroying.. this is a fetch quest meets survival.. you go o a totum, you gt a task of go this place and grab something for me, you do that and youre met with either a new ability such as summoning a smaller alligator to help, or distracting the stupid humans, that cant help but dance when they hear a spiffy tune, or youll be told to level up to unlock the next mission, thankfully until you get to level 25, this usually means only going up one or two levels.. you do this by eating animals around you.. some more aggressive that can kill you.. and here comes my frustration.. even if you level up, the game does not save progress unless you collect an item it seems, not even unlocking the next task saves your progress, so if youre trying to grow 3 levels to move onto the next mission and you just so happen to get trampled on by a deer at level 9, the game reloads at level 7 if you didn’t find a collectible to save your progress..putting you back to the grid again.. at first its pretty fun trying to eat all of these animals, but eventually you grow more and more as you play and you become untoachable, at this point theyre just refilling the sand in your timer.. as you do jave to constantly be eating otherwise oyul lget a game over while youre trying to explore. You can also level up from doing mini games, and by mini games I mean tip over a basket and collect the fruit before time runs out, or eat humans whil theyre going to the bathroom before time runs out.. none of its fun.. youre just going through the motions.. which best sums up this game.. going through the motions..and onto the polish.. angry alligator is super buggy, youll find enemies you cant eat, there was this weird glitch where my alligator and the world just disappeared right before my eyes, and a weird static coming from my switch.. the game isn’t bad on the eyes, but youll immmeditatly notice that this is a smaller budget game while playing.
Angry Alligator is an okay distraction..
You wont be reaking havic on an island like I was hoping for, but its cool to play as animals eveyr once in a while
    I give Angry Alligator
    a 6/10

For some reason when moving up and downPlayed the game for a little while and it crashed multiple times. The camera angles need some work. For some reason when moving up and down inclines it likes to show the underbelly of the alligator making impossible to see what’s in front or around you (it is adjustable but is very finicky). The screen will turn to one color (usually yellow) and the world is still going but all controller functions are unresponsive. You will need to load from previous load point if you want to continue. Or make a brand new save file because these crashes potentially can corrupt your save file (meaning you will be on a loading screen forever). An absolute insult to gamers with a $30 price tag. Expand
