Mar 9, 2020Love it. I got it for $1, but would have paid full price. It's the most bare bones videogame I've ever played, but what it does do is fantastic. I really wish they made a meatier game with this gameplay. It's the perfect time waster.

Oct 1, 2019I have spent so many hours on this... hard to believe when it is basically the same thing all the time. The feeling of improving on each attempt on the same level is great, but a more varied content would have been better. This game is awesome for its cheap price.

Jul 17, 2020A respectable action arcade-style arena hack-n-slash sort of game. Very fun, for what it is. Appropriately priced for what you're getting. If this gameplay was implemented into a fully fledged game...holy crap, it could potentially be pure indie gold, up there with the best. Maybe in a sequel? One can only hope.

May 10, 2022Wer blondes Hähnchen googelt, spielt Akane. Ausrauchen, töten und weiterspielen.

Feb 22, 2023This game has a nice flow to it. The achievements are tied to the upgrades so it drives you to do that next thing. It's an endless game with not much of an ending so you've a solid core of what the game has to offer in the first few minutes but I enjoy the thrill of tightening my gameplay and combining the different upgrades to make the ultimate avenger.

May 26, 2022This is a very subjective thing, but for me playing this just felt wrong somehow. There was some kind of weird clunkiness to it, making the whole experience quite unenjoyable.

Dec 29, 2019Akane is an action game with good gameplay that leaves us wanting more hours of play due to its lack of content. A deeper story is missing, something that would undoubtedly make the game a remarkable title on Nintendo Switch.

Sep 26, 2019If you just want some stylized kills, of course, then you probably won’t mind the repetitiveness or the lack of story. And make no mistake, there are few games that are more stylized than Akane. But if you want anything more than style, then keep looking, because this isn’t a game with a whole lot of substance.

Sep 5, 2019Thanks to its quick gameplay mechanics and variety of goals, it will easily get the player into trying again and again in order to reach a higher score. It doesn't stand too well on a long term basis or on a more in-depth experience, however, as this is a game that mostly appeals when played in quick experiences.
