I enjoyed the game very much. The port to Stadia is well done. The game is worth playing. Enough shockers but not too many to make you wet your pants.

A game like a nail club: intimidating, deadly and very very scary.
The way the story is told and pushed forward is award winning: Every corner holds danger, every cartridge found is a sanctuary.

Be ready... because THEY definitely are.

Terrifying game. It’s so great! One docked point because I wish they could smooth the motion a little more. Even with the adjusted settings, I still get motion sickness. But for the short period of time I can play at a time, I love it. It’s SO scary. Definitely challenging for me, but never too frustrating. I really want to play RE8 so I’m hoping the motion sickness eventually passes.

RE7 looks and plays great on Stadia. It took me a couple tries to get into it as I kept getting spooked and putting it down. Once I got over that I setled in and it has been nothing but a blast ever since.

Der Stadia Port sieht super aus und läuft auch sehr gut. Mir selbst gefällt die Richtung, in die Resident Evil geht. Aber das ist Geschmackssache

That one creeped me out like no game before. Only play if you can handle really hard horror games. That was to much for me. And I thought I’ve seen everything in 30 years of gaming…

A shockingly good port, I loved every minute of it (except for the last part of the game). I can highly recommend this version of the game.

One of my favorite Resident Evil games. Amazing story and gameplay! Don't play alone in the dark.

19 years ago I was experiencing for the first time on Gamecube, Resident Evil (Remake). Fix camera, gorgeous graphic with amazing sounds. The atmosphere was set up for this great horror game. The story was composed with clever puzzles design which kept me playing the game for an entire month despite not being a fan of the gameplay.

Since then, I mostly play every Resident Evil game with for my top three: Resident Evil 2 (Remake), Resident Evil 8 and in the last spot, Resident Evil 4. When Capcom announced Resident Evil 7 I was skeptical about the new game direction and gameplay. Being a fan of third person view introduced in Resident Evil 4 and also used in Dead Space trilogy, another horror franchise which I highly enjoy. This new direction was keeping me away for playing the game.

At the moment, Stadia unveils its Pro lineup for April, a month prior the release of Resident Evil 8 on the same platform. I knew it was time for me to go back in and give a shot at the series after the disappointing Resident Evil 5 & 6.

Discovering the protagonist of the game wasn’t Leon, Chris or Jill, the most famous face from the popular franchise, but a new character named Ethan Hunters. Right at the beginning, I was having the impression to play a new horror franchise, which I believe was the intention of the creators.

After a few hours trying to survive inside the Bakers house, the antagonist of this game, I learned to love the first person perspective, but also the bold new vision. He gets me excited for the upcoming Resident Evil 8 while throwing me back at that time when Resident Evil 4 came out.

Stress, Excited, Upset while feeling challenge by the puzzles inside the house or hunted by the Bakers family. I was enjoying once more Resident Evil. Walking away from the zombie formula used during the last two decades. Resident Evil 7 introduced a new concept which is going to be the basis for a new trilogy.

Throughout the first two acts, I have experienced something new… something which has never been done before in Resident Evil. The pacing and environment of the game is different. If you have play “Outcast” horror games, you will have an idea about what I’m talking about. Then, in the third act, the game shift to go back to familiar ground like previous games in the series, adding more action to his mechanic.

Do I enjoy playing Resident Evil 7? Definitely. But I never connect with the lead protagonist as I did in past with Leon Scott Kennedy. Ethan Hunters feels bland compared other heroes who have paved the way of this franchise. If there was one negative point of the game, it would’ve been him.

However, the graphic doesn’t disappoint here and they do honor to the franchise reputation because if one things Resident Evil is being known for… this is its impressive graphic which always push the limit of the platform. Having learn to appreciate the first person view, I still prefer the third person. It’s created better cinematics and I also like seeing my character hiding a portion of the screen, which brings more intensity.

Regardless of its weak protagonist, Resident Evil 7 remain a solid entry in the franchise. If you like horror games, you can’t be wrong with Resident Evil 7 on Stadia.

Solid port of a solid game. If this hadn't been included for free with Stadia Pro I likely never would've played it. I'm not a fan of horror games but loved Resident Evil 4 so I gave it a chance. Good game and port, very few truly scary elements, the music and setting are top notch.
