The best way to describe this game is "masterpiece'! It plays great and looks beautiful on Stadia. Spent well over 100 hours on the story mode but would love to be pulled back in for more. I'm just getting started with the online mode which is amazing as well.

It is sad that trolls have targeted this game on metacritic for some reason (probably because they are just trying to hurt

This game is just truly amazing. It is definitely on par with games like Witcher 3. The game is fairly long, but not as repetitive as it feels like in other games like Assassin's Creed.

The mechanics and UI remind of GTA, but the feeling of the game is a whole different one. The world is very beautiful, the protagonists actually feel like having character. There are definitely

On Google Stadia it runs very nice, I have not yet noticed any bugs and it made sure I dump 120 hours into the game.

I can’t believe this score is so low. This may be the best game that’s ever been made that I’ve been able to play. It runs well, is as big and open or closed and linear as you want it. The acting is incredible. I love the story. Online mode option that I didn’t even get into after 160 hours. This game is amazing.

I love that so many things happen when traveling, so many in fact that 90% of my gameplay is getting sidetracked. Skinning, getting on your horse, running...are way too slow. So RDR2 (singleplayer) gets a 10/10. Red dead online is poor in comparison, they removed so many things that it's nowhere near the red dead redemption 2 experience everyone loves from day one and that you see clips on YouTube about. Rockstar Games has gone from my favorite game company to almost my mose hated one, because of how they handle online. They encourage toxicity, although RDO is much better than GTAO in this sense. I just hope that they realize that we want to do more cooperative gameplay instead of constantly getting griefed. RDO's businesses generally suck. RDR2 is about being an outlaw while RDO is about being a businessman or something. Well, to sum it up, RDO gets 4/10. Expand

One of the best games of all time. Great story, atmosphere, scenery, missions and game play. Existing issues such as the ridiculous handling (gamepad button assignment, challenging way to approach specific items/objects) do not detract from a near perfect score.

I first played the game on PS4 but couldn't stand the load times. It's so much quicker on Stadia and I enjoy playing at 60FPS. The gameplay is fun and relaxing. There is just so much you can do and the attention to detail is amazing. My favorite moments are actually fishing.

Red dead redemption 2 is a masterpiece and it's an absolute crime that this game was review bombed just for being on Stadia. It performs extremely well and the fact that it's running in the cloud does not compromise the experience at all.

Anyways RDO (Read Dead Online) is one of my favorite games I have ever played I mean playing as a cowboy you create with your friends who also created their own charecter is awesome . Not only that but also the fact that the game is realistic while still exersizing some things you can only experience in a game (like the fact you can be shot several times before dying). Anyways that fact really makes the game more fun. The only thing that I would have to gripe about is the fact that if you play in a Posse you don't get the same rewards as the leader which is a huge let down because it makes the atmosphere seem like the one joining the posse leader is more of a hired gun than a gang member. most of the time the diffrence in payout is minute but on big payout missions (like moonshine missions the leader can get around $200 while the (guns for hire) only get around $15 Wich sucks and makes moonshine missions very unspeaking when playing as a Posse. Other than that great game with tons and tons of details. I mean if you are in game chat your charecter mouth even moves and the closer you are to other players also talking in game chat the louder they get like real life. ( Unless you are in a Posse then you can hear each other all the time). Crazy amount of detail I just love it. Expand

Masterpiece of a game. Long high quality story. You can spend hours doing things outside of the main story just being part of the world. Red Dead Online wasn't really for me. The Stadia community is very active in the game though and the Stadia version is probably the best version due to the lack of hackers.

Highly recommend the game if playing cowboy and riding horses sounds up your alley.

Long story short, this game is a slow-simmering masterpiece with a movie-level plotline, a vast and alive open world, breathtaking graphics, and an unparalleled attention to detail.

There are few games on the same level as RDR2 and Rockstar has really outdone themselves. The story has so much depth and character development. You will laugh, you will cry, and you will feel like you're in the game with Arthur Morgan and his fellow outlaws. Arthur is arguably one of the most believable protagonists in a video game. The dialogue is very realistic and the voice acting is top notch. You really get to know your own gang members throughout the game as things happen. Whenever you go to camp, you can see them dancing and speaking to one another. You can join them in some games or say something to them. It all just feels so real and alive. You feel like you know these people in real life.

Going off of that, there is no open world like that of RDR2. The world is so incredibly alive and detailed that you really immerse yourself in it. Yes, the testicles on horses do grow and shrink based on temperature. You can interact with any NPC and they all have dialogue. They even remember your actions. Once I helped a random NPC in the woods, and the next day they recognized me in town and offered to pay for anything I wanted from the store. You can rob trains and stores and lower your honor or you can help strangers and donate to camp to raise your honor. There are also so many Easter eggs and side missions in the game that aren't fluff. These side missions and random encounters add real substance to the game and will distract you for hours. On top of that, you have some of the best hunting and fishing in an open world game yet. You'll distract yourself from the next story mission as you spend hours tracking legendary animals and baiting them or fishing to feed your camp. Then you can set up a fire and cook the meat or craft some items. Even when you shop at the store, Arthur flips through a real catalog by hand. You really make yourself a part of the game world.

The feel of gameplay is different from other games. Arthur moves like a real human, with weight, and this helps the game seem more like a movie. Every single animation is polished (although slower than most games). There are no sudden movements or glitches, everything in the world moves like it's real life. When you pick up something, Arthur grabs it with his hand and puts it in his bag. When you skin an animal, Arthur takes out his knife and skins it. When you loot someone, Arthur lifts the body and pats it down before grabbing something. Everything is so smooth that you forget it's a game. Unfortunately, the one flaw in mechanics is the gunplay is clunky and based on the same system Rockstar has used such as in GTA V. The cover system is also not perfect and you'll often find yourself accidentally coming out of cover or not being able to get behind something.

Two years later and RDR2 has some of the best graphics of any game. It runs extremely smooth on Google Stadia and is incredible to see on your phone, computer, or TV screen. The beginning of the game starts off in the snowy mountains and you see how realistically the snow moves as you make footprints and slowly trod through it. After you get to the open world you see how realistic everything looks and feels, and there is absolutely no end to the rendering distance. The graphics really shine when the weather system brings a large thunderstorm as Arthur and the world get drenched and you have to brush mud off the new horse you just found.

The missions are very linear in traditional Rockstar fashion, but the tradeoff is worth it as they really make the story. Some missions are lacking in that they're just riding horses with some dialogue to a location, shooting a bunch of people, and then riding back. However, the dialogue is really good and serves the purpose of helping you get to know the characters and Arthur. The linearity of the missions prevents you from just going on a rampage each time and instead makes things unique and different as you approach each situation in a manner that makes sense for the story.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is an absolute must-buy on Google Stadia. You don't just play a game, you immerse yourself and you live in the shoes of a real-life Arthur Morgan and his world. And please, please avoid any and all spoilers. I wish I could go back and play this game for the first time again.

The production quality on this game is insane; the details and systems on show really demonstrated the value of Stadia to me. It ran and controlled great on the platform without any major issues. This is a great game to get lost in and is likely the pinnacle of production values on Stadia at the moment.

Only for the brave, this is a masterpiece of a game you shouldn't miss in your library. Only downside: Red Dead Online is no longer updated by Rockstar Games, but there's very nice people playing it and you can co-op with players to complete the storyline or random missions. If you don't care about online, the story is phenomenal!
