A gritty re-imagining of the early DOOM franchise, the game places much more emphasis on the atmosphere than previous entries. A much overlooked title but consistent in the play. DOOM 64 is a must buy for any fans of shooters, DOOM and games in general.

Hurt me plenty or Ultra Violence - whatever it takes! It's nice to see the old (very old) Doom from the Nintendo 64 ported to Stadia. Did I mention, that it's old, but nevertheless it did age well and it comes with new levels and even Doom I if you find the secret entrance.

It's a very dated game by modern standards (I didn't play the original on the N64), however, it looks and runs great on Stadia. Very enjoyable because the of simplicity and it being dirt-cheap to buy.

Preserves everything that made this game excellent; lots of rip and tear as per Doom, controls are customizable to my liking (right thumbstick to move - although it's still personally uncomfortable to play on the Shield controller - I've never been a fan of the parallel thumbstick "PlayStation" style gamepads), silky smooth frame rate, very atmospheric and terrific graphics and sound. The drawback for me is that there is noticeable input lag using the stick Nvidia Shield controller. I'm playing on an Nvidia Shield TV hardlined in through Ethernet (duh) with 400 MBPS internet and there is definitely a delay from your actions on the gamepad and what occurs on the screen. Noticable enough that it messes up the gameplay experience. Yes, I am aware that I am streaming the game. To put it in perspective, I've streamed Doom 2016 to this same device using GeForce Now [on a slower 200 MBPS subscription] and experienced virtually zero input lag. Oddly, it plays very well (albeit a little too quick and twitchy) when using an Xbox One controller and as if natively on my phone; haven't tried it on my tablet, yet.

I haven't tried it with mouse and keyboard (hate that, anyway) and I haven't played with my controller hardwired in (shouldn't even be a necessity in 2021), maybe I will and will update the review of I do, but games should run well from the stock hardware they're running on, playing natively or not.

Porting sicuramente azzeccato del remake del famoso gioco del 1997. Non punta ad essere il miglior gioco su Stadia ma sa essere davvero divertente.

Excellent N64 port that runs great and will make you wish they would port over more fifth-generation era games to the Stadia.

This was a great little trip down memory lane. Couldn't play it for too long because it gets boring, but worth a couple bucks for the nostalgia.

I played DOOM 64 way back. Got way further on the Stadia version.

Plays great, still has that super retro speedy DOOM feel. The game is what is advertised, it's great for folks who want to experience the nostalgia. Is it going to scratch an itch for a modern shooter game? no. Will you have a lot of fun shotgunning pixelated demons? Hell yeah. Also Stadia is a great place to have

Also Stadia is a great place to have the game, I love playing it with my phone in a claw like mount connected to a stadia controller.
