    Never played a souls game but this is what I'd imagine they're like. Combat is very precise and difficult but skill based as a result.

    Not spoiling story or anything. The mechanic of dying causing you to age is very interesting and affects gameplay in interesting ways. It makes dying feel both suck, and feel rewarding at the same time.

    The environmental/clever level design is honestly impressive. Downright Alice in wonderland vibes.

    It's a 9 for me, unfortunately that's mostly likely because I'm not a souls-like style gamer. The game can be punishing especially if you don't cheat and look anything up online.    … Full Review »
