Secret Agent Clank is not as bad as people make it out to be. Sure it relies on quicktime button mashes which can be annoying and Clank is a bit annoying as a protagonist but it's just a fun game for all who are interested. The Bond theme makes for some relatively fun experiences and the challenge is robust. There is no reason to avoid this game if you love Ratchet & Clank

    Pros
+Puzzle and stealth elements added, play mostly as Clank and gagebots as well- plus play as Ratchet during battle arena type levels and Qwark in boss battle and action events
+Way more polished than R&C Size matters which was released a year prior to this game
+Game is more like Ratchet Clank 2 and 3 in terms of story progression and gameplay

    Cons
-Some segments can be frustrating or annoying (Rhythm mini games)
    -Some boss battles are annoying/frustrating
-Some weapons and weapon mods cost too much and require a lot of grinding of bolts

This game is sweet it brings on a new way to play clank and unlike other r and c's you have to be sneaky. Plus you get a sweet sports car. P.S High Impact games this is the best r and c yet I give it a 10.

Now this version of SAC is better, but still not great. I do like how they tried to change it up from the normal way of playing and Ratchet & Clank game, while still having some of it in it, but it's still overall an ok experience. This one is better than the PS2 version, because it feels like it was meant for the PSP only.

The psp version is terrible. Get it on PS2 instead to avoid the several bugs, uncomforable controls, rigged unfair boss battles, etc. Its a funny game yea, but this is very bad. This is why ONLY insomniac games should develop this series. Remember what happened to Spyro? It died. This and ratchet and clank size matters proves my point.

Worst game I have ever played. Period! It gets ridiculously repetitive and the only fun parts, the Clank parts, are few and far between. The stupid difficulty of the final boss just made me throw this away. This game is the perfect example to show why Insomniac should only be allowed to make R&C games

Great game with a lot of fun and excitement. For kids under the age of 15 this is great and this is why the critics may have ranked this game slightly lower due to that it is aimed at a younger audience. It has enough excitement and amusement for younger audience therefore it is a awesome game.

Uneven but overall fun. There are far too many QTEs and the story isn't all that good, but the rest of the gameplay is fun and competently put together, and of course there are lots of cool weapons to mess around with.

Secret Agent Clank does enough things differently to hold your attention. A slew of minigames, Gadgebot Challenges, Ratchet Arenas and Quark side missions break up the core game, which sees Clank work to get to the bottom of a plot which has landed Ratchet in prison for a crime he didn't commit. Clanks gameplay has had an overhaul since he was last played. He has his own gadgets and weapons, and utilizes a stealth mechanic to infiltrate areas without alerting the patrols inside. The game itself is relatively short, and most of the challenges are repetitive (and thankfully mostly optional, even though they make up the bulk of the games longevity), but Secret Agent Clank is still good for a romp, and is a fun little semi-canon foray into the world of Clank. este juego es muy bueno hace falta que los controles se destraben por que a veces no siempre lo hace pero la historia los movimientos armas y incluso los videos me gustaron son de lo mejor pero si tiene unos bugs y errores que arreglar por eso el 9

Secret Agent Clank is fun like a normal James Bond film and the replay value is there whenever the opportunity arises – well sort of.

Secret Agent Clank works as a fun R&C spinoff game. It successfully expands the universe and gives more backstory to the character of Clank.

Secret Agent Clank wasn't a bad idea. In fact dare I say, sections of Clank's gameplay are strokes of genius in the ideas surrounding their conception. But it suffers in the same way as Size Matters in that they aren't pulled off very well. Your best bet in this game is to attempt stealth, that's where your biggest enjoyment will be. Drop into combat and you're in for a world of hurt. It's just disappointing because the game absolutely hams it up in cutscenes, art direction, and weaponry with the secret agent idea. But it just has a hard time making you feel like the suave detective you wanna be because it will piss you off so much. It provides some decent enjoyment for a little while for the first few Clank levels, but as soon as you get to Ventantonio, everything crashes and burns. At least that was my experience. I feel like this could have avoided if they had focused more on the Clank gameplay. But there are sections where you play as Ratchet, Qwark, and the gadgebots. None of these sections are very fun, except for maybe the gadgebot parts every once in a while. And when they show up, they just feel like a chore you gotta get through so that you can return to the Clank gameplay you came here for. Despite what I said, if you get a feel for the quirks of the gameplay, you may still enjoy Clank's sections. I still can for the most part. Until I arrive at a particular part that is annoying and broken. God help you if you try to go for 100%. It will be annoying as hell. Secret Agent Clank has a lot of good ideas. It had a lot of potential. It's just a shame that potential felt somewhat wasted. You may still find some enjoyment in it, and again. I like the rhythm mini games and the stealth takedowns which I feel really show the best of Clank's stealthy prowess. And it's worth owning a Ratchet and Clank game on the PSP, but it's just a sadly disappointing game by series standards. You'd honestly be better off with Sly Cooper. Skipping this one and Size Matters, you're not really missing out on much. 6/10 Expand

The bug let me repeat the last mission and start it all over again, that wouldn't be that much of a problem but than i realised that i couldn't start the final boss battle and so i had to watch it on YouTube... that ruined the overall experience a bit. Expand

This was my favorite psp game. I put Literal dozens of hours into this. It isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Sure there are qte and button mashes, but that doesn't immediately make this game bad. It's addicting and Fun.

My first R&C game, which I first played in 2010. This game is pretty good, but other R&C games are better ofc.

  1. While not my favorite Ratchet and Clank game, Secret Agent Clank has some very cool gameplay modes, characters, and gameplay experiences.
  2. Maybe Secret Agent Clank scratches that Ratchet and Clank humorous blasting itch for you. For me it didn't. Too much repetition, too much stealth and too little story flow left me cold.
