    Got Bored playing this Game within a few Hours..It has no Story...but just endless Slashing of Animals which at one point of time become a pain in the Ass !!

    This is one of the very few games i can keep coming back to without it getting boring, not only because it always presents a challenge but also the sheer size of it!

    I had the original MH on PS2 and thought it was pretty good, but was never able to play online, and its nowhere near as big so i stopped playing it, but when my bro got a PSP and MH2 for his birthday, from just 5 mins of    This is one of the very few games i can keep coming back to without it getting boring, not only because it always presents a challenge but also the sheer size of it!

    The only thing I like about this game is its variety of different kinds of monsters and animals. However, with the lack of autolock and the camera control I've ever seen, this game is just a pain in the ass to play.

    Loved it at first, started to hate it after about a week, boss fights are long and tedios and overwhelmingly frustrating, barrow it from someone first, after you actually get into the game make your decision, cause the first few hours really are fun

    The lack of infra-structure online gaming is a big dissapointment for us fans that had eagerly anticipated the sequel of an uncomparable RPG game.

I have played many of the highly rated games and save a few all have been disappointing after a few hours. Take God of War. That game rocked...for about 3-4 hours. The Siphon FIlter games are great, but they too are short. I stopped reading the critics reviews I bought this game out of frustration. I love the PSP. I wanted a game worth buying that would not grow old. After watching a review of this on Youtube by some dude, I decided to download the demo. Yes, the camera sucks, but it adds difficulty to the game. Other than that, I was floored. So I went and bought MHF2. Best bang for your buck on the PSP. Loading can be a pain, but it seems to shorten as you go along. The fighting I find enjoyable and difficult. There is something inherently rewarding in pulling off a combo with a giant hammer and killing a pain in the ass monster with the last final blow. This is the game I have been searching for on the PSP. It takes time, can be very difficult and frustrating, but very rewarding and, most importantly, FUN. I cannot say the same of most other PSP games. Great game, very underappreciated.… Expand

    Something else from Bob N. Prime example: Most critics seem to enjoy the mindless and child-like camera system in Resistance for the PSP. It might as well play the damn game for you for how helpful it is. I hate Resistance. It is mindless and insulting in its simplicity. This game, faults and all, is the antidote for the Resistance Retributions of the PSP, those games which look great but Something else from Bob N.     This game is repedative, sure but its that repedity that makes it great. there are more monsters than there were in monster hunter 1 and there are more weapon choices and a bunch of other new stuff. i got to hero rank 3 on my own and i'm on the mission to advance to hero rank 4 this game is so good i already have 110+ hours on it.

    It's not for everyone, that's for sure. It took me a few days to get the hang of the controls and how to hunt, but now I'm hooked in a big way. The visuals are stunning and the gameplay is very deep. It's kind of like a cross between Morrowind and Phantasy Star Online. Imagine PSO with lots of crafting and deep gameplay (there's a good amount of moves and It's not for everyone, that's for sure.     This is the game to own on the PSP. While the high and mighty game critics at IGN, Game Informer, and the like all seem to miss the true value of this game, the fans have spoken, and loudly! The community around this game is superb, and 4 player ad-hoc quests are simply the best experience you'll have on the PSP to date. If you own a PSP, do your self (and your friends a favor) and This is the game to own on the PSP.     While it may not be an Oblivion, it sure is one heck of a game; the poor PSP can only handle so much, and the creators certainly delivered. It is a little repititious, but you have to use that, and revise it for every monster. Imagine Halo meet Lord of the Rings, and with a whole lot more weapons!

    A enjoyable and highly addictive game, with it's mind boggling amount of character customisation, amazing graphics and good replay value it is an essential buy for any RPG/ActionRPG loving PSP owner.

    Its huge, it has great graphics, tons of quests, weapons, and armor, controls are fine, and it is a very addicting game. The bad thing is that it doesnt have online play which is unacceptable in my opinion.

    Simply the most amazing game on the PSP bar none. The lack of online play does not hurt the title at all.

    This game is absolutely amazing. Great graphics, fun gameplay, and tons of stuff to do! It's like a deeper single-player PSO experience and that is an absolutely wonderful thing. I'll be playing this for a good long while.

    This is probably the best thing that's happened on the PSP since... anything! With great visuals, larger-than-life monsters, and LOTS of customization, this game will make you addicted to your PSP. From fighting a measly Popo, to the gigantic Azure Lao Shan Lung, you could spend easily 100+ hours on this game alone.

    I'm sick of all the sorry people who give this game bad reviews because they suck at it. This game is by far the most challenging (in a good way), rewarding, and exciting title on the PSP. In fact, it has more content and longevity than most RPGs and is better than many next-gen games to date. Why is it that official reviews are always so low and the user reviews are so high?     My PSP is my favorite material possession and Monster Hunter is 90% of the why. Both the first and the second have so much to offer, you could easily be 1000 hours into the game and still find most enemies a challenge at times. Take 10 or so hours to get the hang of the game, think outside the box, and you are in for the greatest moments you will ever have playing a game.

    the best game in the whole fricken world!!!!! i love it and even though im only hr2 i cant wait to beat the tigrex and kick ass at this game most people look at it and think its just another game like final fantasy or something but its not its fricken awesome! monster hunter freedon 2 is the best game in the world.

It adds hours and hours of gameplay to a system which has a "limited" number of what I would call titles that keep you coming back. The game kind of feels like your own little MMO in your pocket and about the only complaint I can sum up is that the missions are fairly long and REALLY High Learning Curve... If you never played MHF1 (which I did not). But the game is just great for the PSP. It adds hours and hours of gameplay to a system which has a "limited" number of what I would call titles that keep you coming back. The game kind of feels like your own little MMO in your pocket and about the only complaint I can sum up is that the missions are fairly long and since you can't save during the mission (unless I'm missing something) it makes it very difficult to get one in on the train ride into the city in the morning... Graphics are great for the system; nice time investment; really fun concept, gameplay and animations... All around the best game I've played on my PSP to date (and I own a few travel cases worth).… Expand

Let's face it BB Japan has been in a creative slump for years and the other countries are the only developers willing to try (or take a risk) on something new. Did you really think a game where you kill dinosaurs hasn't been done before? Seriously, take a look at some of the independent titles being released by Japan vs other developers, you got Minecraft on one side and the same old JRPG title on the other.     First Monster Hunter I played. I spent a lot of hours in this game. Unfortunately I only knew one person I could play Coop with.

    This is one of my favorite games of all time. The monster hunter series is very different from a lot of other games and because of that are underrated. I often see complaints about monster hunters difficulty, but once you get a handle of the controls it is extremely rewarding. I highly recommend you try this game. Not everyone can appreciate it, but you may find a new love.

    More of the same, sure. But considering how much more fans are getting, that’s hardly a knock against the game. And even though games of this type almost require internet capability, there’s plenty of grinding to be done and you’ll get a lot of play time for your dollar, provided it’s your cup of tea.

    The learning curve in the beginning will keep the riff-raff away, but those who stick around will find hundreds of quests, items to combine and a serious upgrade game sure to keep them -- and their ad-hoc friends -- entertained for a ton of hours.
