Very fun and VERY addicting. The only problem i've found is the controls are a bit clunky. using the analog stick somewhat solves this problem though. 9.5/10

Alot funner then i expected. I was expecting something tottaly weak like Death Jr. or Dead to Rights: Reckoning, but this game is actually alot of fun, and is pretty clever. Pick this one up, its definetly a good choice.

Great voice overs, funny but game play could be a little more challenging.

Fun game, don't know why people are giving it bad reviews and meta scores it low...??

A fun game, but I found the camera (like many first gen PSP games) had a wonky control that made it dizzying to play and focus on. In the end I had to give up because of it (sigh).

The game is really nice but, the fps fall in some areas for example cemetry hill, there is another problem that does not operate the objects if you are not in a strange point for the rest it is really good

La pecca più grande (a cui non ha rimediato purtroppo nemmeno il remake per PS4) è sicuramente il sistema di combattimento troppo "casuale" che non permette di mirare i nemici e che fa subire molti danni quindi preparate tante pozioni.

Great game that stays close to the original on the PS1 while still having some changes along the way. Sadly they cut a few levels as it seems but its fine. There were only some annoyances in the game. For example a glitch preventing me from getting 8 tokens at the carnival, since one didnt register after beating a minigame. For example a glitch preventing me from getting 8 tokens at the carnival, since one didnt register after beating a minigame. To be honest though, I dont think I would have liked to finish all minigames anyway, since some of them are pretty annoying, mostly the one where you lead chicken and sheep. Another annoyance was the dragon boss fight where I got confused cause running up and hitting him did not do damage, he is only vulnerable for one hit at a time inbetween attacks which can be strange at first. Also, for some reason, in some cutscenes the audio was not synched properly. Despite all that though, you can have a lot of fun playing this game and also see some similarities and differences to the original. Combat feels improved, but still chaotic and clunky, which is what Medievil on PS1 was all about though. Definetly worth checking out, but if you want to get the best weapon and encounter that glitch, you have to cheat. Sad, I wanted to get it legitimately but oh well, thats how it is then. Expand

è una specie di remake del primo per ps1 anche se hanno cambiato leggermente la storia che è diventata un pò una parodia del primo

A very fun and especially charming game.
The character design of Sir Daniel Fortesque is one of the best designs developers have ever created.
Furthermore the complete art style of this game has aged well, so that it looks still fantastic. Depending on how much time you invest in the mini-games or if you are going for full completion, this games playtime lies between five and ten

Furthermore the complete art style of this game has aged well, so that it looks still fantastic.

Depending on how much time you invest in the mini-games or if you are going for full completion, this games playtime lies between five and ten hours, which sounds poor, however every level feels unique and offers a great variety, so that you never get bored.

But there are some flaws of course.
The controls are clearly outdated by modern standards. There is no lock on system, so all the fights are simple button mashing, using a sprint attack or perform a charged hit to free yourself from a group of enemies. Another problem is that the camera sometimes cause trouble because it positioned at the exact opposite position you need. The last thing I have to complain about is, that the bosses have all a defined time window where you can damage them, you can however hit some of them, outside of that window, but then they will not lose energy.

Thankfully all of these three negative points weren't able to cloud the fun time I had with this game. The problems I mentioned can be quick overcome and then they are only a little black spot on a cool, funny and most importantly unique game experience.

I really enjoyed my time with this game and his strengths definitely overweight the weaknesses by far.

The gameplay was too simple and straight forward. It was pretty boring for the most part.

  1. Judged purely on its own merits on this platform it looks like it might be vaguely interesting, but all too soon you're dragged into the real world and forced to acknowledge that despite its warm touches of humour, the hackandslash action is nowhere near the standard we expect from a full-priced game these days.

MediEvil is ultra-polished, filled with wonder and brilliant level design and set to a soundrack I'd put up against any cosole game on the market. [Sept 2005, p.61]

MediEvil on PSP feels too much like a half-hearted rehash of the old PlayStation game, but with with some new faults. The fighting degenerates into a simple hack’n’slash, despite different weapons and attack combos. The controls are just not good enough for varied combat. Despite the repetitive and simple combat and platforming sections, the reason you keep on playing is the humour. Sir Dan is a very sympathetic character and its fun to follow his erratic adventures around Gallowmere and his strange interaction with other characters. Voice acting is excellent too [Sept 2005, p.66]
