The battle system is old and redundant, the visuals are lackluster, the music is non-existent, and there isn't even a multiplayer option.

While the console versions were merely mediocre, the PSP version of Beowulf is as aggressively wretched as Grendel itself.

This is middle of the road gaming at its finest. Ultimately, Beowulf won't entertain the average gamer, but fans of the film might want to rent it to play while they're waiting on line to see the movie for the ninth time.

Despite the huge effort that's obviously gone into the graphics and the cutscenes, Beowulf's gameplay never really come to life.
