Mar 26, 2016It's a game like this that dared to start an all new franchise that started great from the beginning. Live up the legendary Tony Hawk in his all new skating adventures now.

Nov 24, 2017The first Tony Hawk's Pro Skater still remains a solid game. Though it may have been outdone by it's own successors, it features many memorable stages and smooth gameplay, while remaining easily approachable. It's still a fun game to go back and play today, and offers an experience that you cannot get anywhere else.

Jun 16, 2013The game that made Tony Hawk a household name was certainly worthy of all the praise it received. Importantly the controls felt very natural meaning that with a bit of practice it was possible to pull of all manner of tricks and combos. It certainly looks dated now but even today it is more than playable.

May 8, 2013Considering how much the series has improved, all the sequels are much more recommendable. This one is for the hardcore fans of the series. Buy Pro Skater 3 instead.

TensorFeb 10, 2007This is some of the best games I have ever played. I love it, from start to finish and its impossible not to like this game if your already into these kind of games that involves extreme-sport adventures. This is a must-have game for any fan of ps1 and its a classic in any sense of the word!

GeoffH.Dec 4, 2003This is the game that started it all, only complaint is the lack of Revert, but that only adds to the challenge and excitement.

LividFictionNov 26, 2006Looking back, THPS is an extremely primitive game. But at the time, it was revolutionary. Then and now I rate it how I am now.

Mar 29, 2019best game ever made. especially the soundtrack. you get songs such has "policetruck" and "superman" and that one song that sounds like the southpark theme.

Jun 14, 2020Very fun game to boot that made a whole lot of people suddenly interested with skating. Or at least with skate games. Never liked too much those downhill levels, but all the open ones are fun.

Aug 23, 2023I was so young the first time i tried this game that i had fun for hours just smashing my character against the floor over and over. Later i would actually play and beat the game. Good old times.

Fun, addictive, and exciting -- you couldn't ask for more in a game. Tony Hawk may not have the graphic flair of the Dreamcast, but it goes to prove that looks aren't everything.
-
Neversoft deserves a standing ovation for this one... Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is an epiphany.

Not only have I never played a better skateboarding title on the PSX, but I don't believe I've ever played a better skateboarding title ever, on any platform.
