    One of the best games ever made!!! Claire and Leon are also one of the best characters in the series!!! Amazing Story, Very Good Tank Gameplay... No Doubt the best RE game of the Classic.

    Leon and Claire quickly became my two favorite characters in the series. And even now, they still remain my top two.
    Leon: The rookie. With more skill than the well ventured officers. And Claire, the attractive, energetic girl, both taking the top spot of the series.

    Esse jogo é simplesmente fantástico! Resident Evil 2 é o melhor jogo do Playstation 1. Re2 traz tudo que um jogo de terror precisa, desde historia, jogabilidade, trilha e efeitos sonoros, gráficos (para época), etc... Vale a pena jogar!!!!

    It was a back then revolutionary game, cinematic masterpiece bringing more to the survival horror genre and hope of a better future for the mentioned genre.

    As a sequel to Capcom's major success Resident Evil, this game doesn't disappoint, but it also doesn't bring much new to the table. It has a way bigger production value overall, but the entire structure of the game is an almost exact copy of the original, except the RPD doesn't have the same charm as the Spencer Mansion. The game also takes it too easy on the players, being the mostAs a sequel to Capcom's major success Resident Evil, this game doesn't disappoint, but it also doesn't bring much new to the table.     O jogo é simplesmente incrível, para um fanático de Resident Evil como eu o jogo é uma overdose de nostalgia, não tenho palavras para falar, Leon e Ada um " casal " clássico estão mais que perfeito no jogo.

    The legacy of Resident Evil 2 cannot be understated. It is the benchmark that most survival horror games are measured against, it serves as the basis of the current canonicity of the Resident Evil franchise. It spawned countless games, spin-offs, comics, soundtracks and audio dramas. It remains to this day, one of the best games ever made.

    It still great even by today standards. In some regards, I do prefer this versions than the 2019 remake, and back in the day it might have been just astonishing to play it.

    8.5. It's amazing, the ambience and everything is top notch . The remake was better but they are pretty different in their ways.

    The one in the the franchised that introduced my fav character in the RE series to date. Leon S. Kennedy. Play one disc with Leon or Claire and you end the game in the second disk with the other. Raccoon City was never the same again.

    Resident evil 2 improves on every aspect of the original as in story, new characters, while also keeping that same survival horror aspect that we all know resident evil for. This is a solid entry to the franchise and is arguably one of the absolute best resident evils still to this day.

    One of the most memorable games in history is a complete experience of fear and survival, the gameplay mechanics are excellent, the whole enemy type is cool with a unique design, I'm not saying it's not a masterpiece, but the first version was more memorable.

    An excellent game. One of the most innovative and unique games ever made. The A and B scenarios provide excellent replay ability. The cutscenes however have not aged well. Still this game is a masterpiece of horror.

    No sé por qué me pasó con este juego que lo venían sobreestimando desde hace rato, y me propuse a jugar la versión de Gamecube (habiendo ya jugado el primer RE para PS1 y Gamecube).

    Además, RE2 no es de terror, son solo sustos ocasionales y nada más, además de que tiene la peor ubicación de enemigos y el respawn más estresante y frustrante. ¿Eso es terror? Bueno, terror porque se te acaba    No sé por qué me pasó con este juego que lo venían sobreestimando desde hace rato, y me propuse a jugar la versión de Gamecube (habiendo ya jugado el primer RE para PS1 y Gamecube).

    Además, RE2 no es de terror, son solo sustos ocasionales y nada más, además de que tiene la peor ubicación de enemigos y el respawn más estresante y frustrante. ¿Eso es terror? Bueno, terror porque se te acaba la munición injustamente, pero nada más

    El otro problema es el backtracking innecesario que se da porque el juego espera que adivines que hay más de 4 zombies por zona en promedio y debes de llevar más de un arma, por ende, más de una munición... Que la munición sea relativamente escasa al principio del juego me parece un grave error porque, como dije antes, el juego espera que adivines la cantidad de zombies por zona y a veces por RNG, salen zombies random, y si es que te encuentras un licker por ahí

    La banda sonora no es tan destacable como en el primer juego y su remake y no cumple del todo el 'ser atmosférico', ya que la mayoría de zonas están perféctamente iluminadas para ambientar tan dramáticamente como lo hace este juego.

    Es cierto que más adelante, el juego va mejorando en esos fallos, pero ya me había dejado muy "meh" este juego.    … Expand

    As a boomer I was there when real gaming was born. And Resident Evil 2 is the finest child of this awesome birth. Count your ammo and enjoy this gaming around the midnight.

    The zombie threat reaches the streets of Racoon City. I personally prefer the claustrophobic single setting of the mansion in the first game, but the graphics, dialogue and voice acting are much improved. Another spooky and absorbing adventure.

    Masterfully crafted, I grew up playing the entire re saga since i got my first ps1, and I loved every single one of these games but there was something special with re2 that made me fall in love with this game.     A bad game with terrible graphics. Why did they release it in this state?
    If you think that anything other than graphics matters, then you need to be arrested and killed for being so stupid that it's surprising that you can even get out of bed.
