    While NBA Live 2001 is very much like the 2000 version, it offers some new extras like the NBA Challenge and new in-the paint moves that will appeal to die-hard ballers.

    Rarely has there even been a time in the history of sports game development that the implementation of new (mo-cap) moves actually achieved the result of positively impacting the gameplay of a title -- as much as it has here with NBA Live 2001.

    The game is just plain fun and I can honestly say that I would rather play Live 2001 than almost half of the PS2's line-up of launch games.
