Now 20 years later, I played some matches with a friend and I have to say, FIFA games didn´t really change or even significantly improve since then. Yes, graphics are better now, but gamplay? This is the best PlayStation soccer game currently on the market. The gameplay, graphics and audio tracks are all superb.

To the poor souls of sports gaming without access to more powerful systems or used copies of last year's edition, "FIFA 2002" is an amusing and deep virtual prelude to the biggest sports tournament in the world.

Gone are the days when your team of choice could score a dozen goals a period, performing incredible crosses at will. Instead, EA has decided to convert its popular franchise into a more simulation-oriented game, and the results are definitely pleasing.
